16.01.2022 Redesign of the Ground Floor plan in this semi to allow to increase the amount of sunlight entering into the living area as well as reorientaing the kitchen, dining and living room spaces to create an easy flowing open plan space. A contemporary design with clean minimal lines featuring clean white surfaces and natural timber features. A focal point was the new bookcase which maximised display areas with an intergrated fireplace that provided heating to the entire downstairs. Other cleverly designed joinery included concealling the Guest WC and laundry fittings. This was a wonderful project to work on.

08.01.2022 Oroton Head Office - Commercial The project involved redesigning the top level of a warehouse space to accomodate new Office premises for Orotongroup Pty Ltd. The Interior design was focussed on marrying various signature brands and yet allowing for each brand to retain its own identity. Using base materials such as existing concrete floors and recycled timber features, exposed A/C ducting and glazed partitions has generated a creative and exciting environment for the employ...ees to work in. Service Cores were used as a design element to seperate front and back of house areas. The Design brief stated to reuse as many fittings and workstations as possible which were then recycled and reincorporated into the new design. A concise project period of 6 weeks where due to correct planning and coordination minimal time was used in the hand over and thus a successful project as non trading time was minimised. See more

01.01.2022 This new 3 storey residence is situated at the top end of Maroubra and takes the advantage of maximsing district city views to the North and Botany Bay views to the South. The Brief from the Client was for a new contemporary home using natural materials and finishes to be used in conjunction with distinct horizontal linear lines. As the site falls away from the street, a concept of a linear spine wall was conceived and a linear stone wall was then created to allow for a focus... element to connect all three levels. From the beginning a primary aim of designing within the environmental conditions of the site has been taken into account. Bright and open spaces allow for internal and exteranl areas to flow into one another, "flying" cantilevered overhangs all for shading to certain areas where required. Natural passive ventilation allows all the heat to escape thru the volumes with the use of clerestorey windows. Core sustainablity elements are incorporated into the design thru utilsing the roof run off into onsite detension tanks providing sufficient supply to landscape and pool irrigatiion systems. Photovotaic cells are used to optimise energy collection on roof areas. The residence emabrks on providing a contemporary home fulfilling the needs og both active and passive design systems as well as providing wonderful spaces for this young family to enjoy.

01.01.2022 Modernising this 3 storey residence to optimise views orientating towards the harbour bridge, redesigning spaces to allow for double volume entry, new formal living and dining areas and opening up spaces to create easy access between the family and kitchen areas and the external entertaining area with new pool and garden. The design focussed on flow of spaces, improving circulation between areas and increasing natural light and ventilation throughout the house.... Redesigning all Level one bedrooms with the main bedroom wing incl dressing room and ensuite. Remaining bedrooms redesigned to incl their own private ensuites and patio areas. A new Rumpus and guest bedroom areas added to the lower ground floor. This was an extremely complex construction project as all interior walls were demolished between the floors to allow for the new design. This was a highly successful project complete with internal finishes selections and interior design. This residence has become a home for its family. See more
