The main take home is that pericapsular fibrosis results in an inter-metatarsal mass that may mimic a Mortons neuroma and is primarily associated with plantar plate tears

History of increased loading and tenderness/oedema over bone=stress fracture.

Cuff, ACJ and GHJ showed no abnormality so scan was extended to rule out scapula fracture...we have a winner! SS nerve and artery noted in close proximity to fracture. In this female diabetic patient there was also gross fatty infiltration of the deltoid muscle (common in diabetics).
