23.01.2022 Meet Gary: doting father, adored son and loved brother. Growing up in Nambour, Gary was always working on cars or off on a camping adventure with his children exploring the great outdoors. When his MS progressed to the point he could no longer live alone, his mother Fay, although in her 80’s, took care of him. Six years ago, his last fall at home was his last day at home. Due to a lack of accessible housing options, the heartbreaking decision was made to move Gary four hour...s away to MS Queensland’s specialist disability accommodation in Springfield. While MS Queensland takes excellent care of his physical needs, nothing beats the love, care and support of his family. There’s nothing more important to Gary than his family, and all they want is for Gary to come home. MS Queensland is committed to addressing the disability housing crisis through our Best Life Project. Our plan is to build specialist, independent living accommodation to help people with MS live their best, most fulfilling lives. To help people like Gary, please donate here: https://www.msqld.org.au/bestlife/ #Iampartoftheplan

22.01.2022 Erin has been a physiotherapist for over 14 years, working within hospitals and the community. Being extremely experienced in treating those with neurological conditions, Erin is also currently undertaking a postgraduate education to further develop her skills in this area. "Because MS affects every person differently, every customer has different symptoms which affect their body differently. As a physiotherapist, I need to spend the time to get to know the customer and how M...S impacts their individual life. This makes it interesting and challenging as no two people are the same. I love being able to help people feel empowered to manage their MS through exercise and physical activity." When she isnt helping the community, Erin loves to cook and spend quality time with family at the beach.
