19.01.2022 GODDESSQUÉ ~The art of asking oneself ‘What would the Goddess do?’ Yesterday as I kicked off the first ever live round of my 10-day short course #Transform I shared a little secret with the beautiful womxn in there... (actually I shared a few ) I told them about how I made up the word GODDESSQUÉ to remind me to ask myself ‘what would the inner goddess do?’... It has become my way of checking in to see how I’m tracking. Like everything transformation, it’s a journey not a destination. It’s creating an awareness, an awakening even, that I can be kinder to myself and the areas where I need to be more intentional in order to grow with grace and reach higher levels of self honour. It’s definitely not always pretty! Growth is gritty but it gives me some clear goal posts to aim for. That inner goddess knows exactly what is needed in her palace!! Her bestie is my Wild Woman (AKA @soulmodes) Some may call this exercise self-indulgent. I know my Mum would have, bless her. Truth be told, there were points in my life where I certainly would have agreed! It feels lusciously indulgent to have found that level of self worship. As a child I was taught to love myself... but not too much!! What’s with that? I can even remember being teased and told by other girls that I loved myself! That girl has gone back to find redefine what that means- if only I had the word GODDESQUÉ back then. I’ve been getting uncomfortable in order to slide into this new personal persona. Uncomfortable in ways I didn’t quite expect... My inner goddess decided that she was ditching my fav pair of comfy undies and bed socks for something with more sass! Something so simple feels wildly wonderful and even a little tongue in cheek at this point in my life... and I’m loving it! Every transformation journey starts with us. 16.01.2022 Friday’s school holiday adventure had me swinging from trees at TreeTops #coffsharbour with Miss 15 whilst Daddy Addy watched the other 2 younger ones dangling from trees somewhere below us! The challenging course (for this forty-something year old mama of 3) had me thinking about one of my all time favourite quotes and one that I recall reciting regularly to myself around 3.5 years ago when we started to make a complete life flip. Life begins at the end of your comfort zon...e And how true it is! It’s been a while since I’ve swung from the canopy and there were most definitely a few hairy moments but once I got going I felt pure exhilaration and accomplishment! A feeling I have become familiar with as I’ve pushed myself over edges that I feared and somewhere on the fall found my wings time and time again. It’s so easy to think that staying within our comfort zone is ‘easy’ and ‘comfortable’ but in fact it’s harder because it means that the less we stretch ourselves the less we are able to adapt to change and varied situations. And so we end up living in somewhat of a bubble to avoid new and different situations or ones that will challenge us. Maintaining an elastic comfort zone allows us to stretch and grow ourselves, removing boundaries and fears and elevated us towards a feeling of limitlessness.
16.01.2022 Are you a coach or mentor for women? Let’s talk about Soul Modes... I’ve been mentoring women my entire career, in some way or another, but until Soul Modes came into my life there wasn’t a common dialogue between myself and those I was mentoring around the feels... ... You know, those funky days where the person I’m mentoring wants to chuck what she’s doing in the bin. Or the days where she’s so wild and fun and silly that her ambition is bigger than her inhibition. Or the days where she’s doing all the things and on a complete mission or perhaps she’s decided that she just needs to hang with her kids or her lover for the day. Without a common understanding or reason for these changes in energy, it was harder to get the traction that we both wanted as we didn’t have a way to describe this rollercoaster. Soul Modes put an end to that. My clients join with me knowing that I’m a Certified Soul Modes Mentor. It’s important to me that regardless of which area I’m mentoring them in that they have a grasp on the Modes. Soul Modes gives me a better understanding of where they’re at and this means that I can adjust how much I can stretch them (always lovingly of course!).
