11.01.2022 1x Clean + 2x Front Squat + 1x Power Jerk For Daily Max Daily max = don’t max out and go on how you feel. Finishing up Week 4 Day 1 of my current deload week, been enjoying split jerks of late but the session was pumping so I couldn't bust a split (space).... Next week we're heading into a STRENGTH cycle with a TEMPO focus for squat, deadlift & bench. Let's talk tempo & muscle... TEMPO/TUT was one of my main takeaways from studying Poliquin methods of training. When all factors are held constant the larger the cross-sectional area (size) of a muscle, the more force it can generate so going for growth is key for increasing strength also, part of the reason I like to alternate strength/hypertrophy cycles. Generally rotated in 4-6 weeks blocks to maintain interest, eliminate boredom & capitalize on our physiology. The main factors outside of pharmacological interventions that influence a hypertrophic response are protein consumption, protein timing, muscle mass recruited, volume & time under tension. Nailing all of them is my goal for programming this kind of phase, I can only control what my clients do in a session and not outside. The ones that follow the advice will always have a greater result. Lifes too short to be weak, out of shape, and unhappy. Drop into my DM for a simple training plan that’s guaranteed to work for you.
