20.01.2022 What is your horse trying to tell you? I LOVE this quote! not just because it is CORRECT but because it comes from a person of such influence in dressage and therefore its a philosophy one hopes will flow into the farthest corners of our sport. Miguel goes on to say 'This can be because the aids were not clear, or because he was not mentally and physically prepared to do the task' ... This is one of the foundation values of the MSW Rider system, that it is ultimately our duty and responsibility as riders to ensure that our communication to our horses is clear and kind, that we are patient in our training and listen to the horses. Their body language is the ONLY way they can communicate with us. If you really take a moment and think about it. imagine if you could not speak and the only way you could communicate your pain, discomfort or confusion is with your body and your physical actions really put yourself in your horses shoes and think, what is he trying to tell me...?

16.01.2022 Do you lacking confidence in your riding? Do you worry about getting on your horse because you are not confident in your riding skills? Are you feeling lost and confused about why your not getting the results you want with your horse? Are you concerned that your horse is becoming anxious or stressed when riding? Are you becoming anxious and stressed when your riding?... Do you want to improve the communication between you and your horse? Do you just want riding to be fun and easy? If this sounds like you, let me tell you, you are not alone!!! I have been teaching for many years and over this time I have seen more riders then I can count, struggling with confidence in themselves and their horse. And I can tell you, it always boils down to riders lacking the skills necessary to communicate clearly with their horse on a consistent basis. Because I see the same problems arise over and over no matter who the student is, I have developed a system of training that is applicable to all riders, all disciplines and all levels of rider experience. Whether you are an experienced rider who just cant seem to have a breakthrough or a total beginner with their first horse, if you used to ride and are just returning to the sport after years off working or raising a family or even if you have your very first horse and you don't know where to start. My system will help you become confident in yourself and the way you work with your horse. The best thing about this is as you gain confidence, you horse will then become confident in you and you will gain their trust. A trusting relationship with your horse is where all the fun of riding begins, no matter what your desired outcomes and goals. I am really passionate about helping riders become confident in their skills so they can have a harmonious relationship with their horse, so if you would like to improve your riding, build more confidence and help your horse become calm and relaxed in your riding download my free rider guide at https://mswridingacademy.aweb.page/RiderGuide www.mswridingacademy.com The Pursuit of harmony: Enjoy the journey with confidence #horses #horseriding #dressage #dressagehorse #dressagerider #horserider #horseridinglessons #learntoride #horseridertraining #ride #horseride #horse #ridinglessons #equestrian #equestrians

14.01.2022 What are you thinking about when working with your horse? What are your expectations of him/her? I think awareness of our mindset is probably the most important tool a rider can have in their skillset. As riders its important we are always working on our mindset and be careful about the expectations we have of our horses. I personally try to ride and train each horse as an individual and with a mindset of gratitude for the horses willingness to work. ... I think they are pretty amazing and riding them is such a privilege. Aside from the fact that we need to understand and control our emotions when working with horses, riding is simply more enjoyable when you ride with gratitude and not expectations and lets face it, that's why most of us ride horses isnt it? for the love of the horse. 07.01.2022 With riding, you get out what you put in. Carrie Green doesn't ride horses, but I'm sharing this because it applies to not just life, business and sport but it applies to riding at every level! No matter if your goals are to enjoy a trail ride on the weekend or if you want to be a competitive dressage rider- you have to put the work in to reap the rewards. If you want your riding to be easy and joyful you simply have to learn the skills to show your horse HOW to be confident... and relaxed, if you want to improve your relationship with your horse and ergo the fun you have each day riding, you simply have to put in the time to educating yourself. The Onus is on YOU as the rider to show your horse how to be the horse of your dreams. I Believe every person is capable of creating a harmonious relationship with their horse and i believe every horse is capable of being your dream horse, with the right training. All it takes is a positive and kind attitude, learning to listen to your horse and a dedication to learning the skills to train your horse correctly. Check out the MSW Rider program if your keen to improve your riding and create the partnership of your dreams with your horse.
