22.01.2022 Sunday's mixed doubles competition at Dove included a number of juniors playing - what a great sight! Lockie from our club was playing and is second from left in the photo.

22.01.2022 A happy Easter to all our fellow Petanquers who are no doubt looking forward to being able to toss some boules in the not too distant future. As our club members are aware we had to postpone the trivia night and therefore the draw of the raffle of a set of Competition Boules generously donated by Andre Deramond as the local representative of La Boule Bleue. As a result the draw took place last Friday, via Zoom, with a committee member drawing the winning ticket and Andre acti...ng as a witness. The lucky winner was Anita Harrison from Pyrenees Pétanque Club. Thank you to all those from many clubs who supported this fundraising event. We also would like to acknowledge and thank all the businesses who committed to support the Trivia evening in the form of vouchers/ prizes and will again once this health crisis has passed and we can finally have our Trivia evening. They are as follows: - Kirks on the Esplanade - Josephine’s at the Briars - Manhattan in Mornington - Volpino Pizzeria & Wine Bar, Mt. Martha - Red Hill Brewery - Chatterbox Hair & Beauty, Mt. Martha - Mt. Martha Podiatry - Mt. Martha Physiotherapy - C M Chinese Massage Therapy, Benton Square - Blooms on Bentons - The Peninsula Fish Co., Benton Square - Lindens Fresh Meat, Benton Square - Bendigo Bank, Mount Martha Remember to stay home and stay safe. 21.01.2022 Update Thursday 1st Oct. Andrea is now home from hospital and enjoying her glorious garden which she says is looking stunning. Her recovery is going extremely well and she can walk without crutches, step up stairs and is able to bend her knee to 110 degrees. She is ready to get back on the piste, as we all are, once lockdown ends - let's hope it is soon so we can see each other again in some lovely spring sunshine. Update Friday 18th. Andrea has advised the surgery went w...ell. She stood up briefly on Thursday which resulted in a fair amount of pain which is to be expected. She is in her own room and resting up. Our best wishes to Andrea for her knee replacement surgery tomorrow. Have plenty of rest after the op and then get stuck into the rehab. We are sure you’ll be fit and ready to get back on the pistes once restrictions are lifted. See more
