22.01.2022 Hello everyone and Happy New Year. A little something to kick off the year and provide inspiration & comfort in uncertain times. Having seen Sir Andras Schiff play at The Sydney Opera House I know this will be special, and it looks like we’ve all got the best seat in the house!... Wigmore Hall suggests a token donation, if you can, to keep the music flowing. This video will be available for a month. Enjoy!

21.01.2022 Tonight our ears were treated to some glorious music at the Newcastle Student Concert. The repertoire ranged from popular musicals to Ginastera Dances to Mozart Violin Concertos. The MTA Newcastle Branch love giving our talented youngsters the opportunity to perform. A massive thanks to our wonderful associate artists, Philip Sketchley OAM and Erin Sweetman...how lucky are we to have you two?!?! Hats off to our polished performers and the teachers who have prepared them so beautifully.

08.01.2022 Hello everyone. As the last of the holidays ebb away (sob) you might find yourself, like me, getting everything organised for a streamlined return to teaching. Have you considered your Covid-19 policy? I encourage you to have a look at the Service NSW website and complete the Covid-19 Safety plan, which is a tool to help you determine your personal & studio preparedness. There is lots of information in relation to current public health orders, printable resources (hand washing signs, physical distancing reminders etc.), and business plans. It’s an excellent way to consider and minimise your risks and those of the people entering your studio and also to promote that you have their health and safety prioritised. It’s not a a difficult or a lengthy process. Stay safe & stay well!
