25.01.2022 Community Art from Home. Would you like to contribute to finishing this project off? In the first lockdown, the Mt Atkinson’s art Group started a Community Art from Home Project. As we slowly come out of the restrictions we would like to invite you to be a part of finishing this community art work off. Pieces can be done in your home with what you have available. You can use whatever medium you like, and we invite all levels of artists.that’s everyone. ... Step 1 Register to complete one piece. Email or text Michael Naismith at [email protected] or 0466 597 145 This will be emailed to you (or posted if you don’t have an email address, it will just take longer). Step 2 Receive and complete your piece. Step 3 Return your piece to Mt Atkinson by mail on in person. A more detail explanation will come with the template. It’s not that hard, just some creative fun with a few guidelines.

13.01.2022 YEAH! From the 23rd of November we will be able to meet up in person at the Mt Atkinson Community Centre for the Mt Atkinson Art Group. The online "Lockdown ART" sessions were a great way to stay connected and meet new people, but it's now time to enjoy the space and nature at Mt Atkinson. We will start with Mosaic. We thought this was appropriate as it is what we were doing before we went into lockdown . All the information to come soon.

12.01.2022 The final online session before we meet again at the Mt Atkinson Community Centre.

05.01.2022 As we head towards the end of October's World Mental Health Month, we invite you to check in with yourself. At MACC, we love getting outside and spending time in nature - we have set up some spaces like this for activities including individual and small group reflection or meditation. Comment below with your favourite self care strategy emojis to share some ideas with our community!... #worldmentalhealthmonth #mentalhealth #selfcare #selfcarestrategies #macc #mtatkinson #mtatkinsoncommunitycentre #outdoors #nature #reflection #meditation

04.01.2022 Work has started on the site for the "Blooming West" event at Mt Atkinson. This area will be covered with sunflowers in March 2021. We will soon be delivering sunflower seed packets to the residents of Mt Atkinson so they can plant some in their own garden. We will also be putting the call out for volunteers to help us make the "Blooming West" event at Mt Atkinson a super success.
