24.01.2022 ITS RACE DAY!! We are still going ahhead, if your car is loaded and still want to race, we will alter the grid draws for you. We had some rain over night which has treated our track really well, and we all woke up to a beautiful day, bring it on!, so pack your gazebo and come down for a lovely day in the sun and what have some close racing, full canteen facilities. Motorbikes from 10:30am... Cars from 12:30pm Adults $15, kids under 14 free! How good is that?.

24.01.2022 Mt Beauty Speedway would like to wish every one a big HAPPY EASTER, we hope all the little and big kids found their easter eggs that our dear little friend left for us over night, what a champion. We hope everyone is doing alright in isolation and that you are doing your bit, don’t forget to ring, FaceTime, message people to check up on each other to have a laugh, together we can get through this so that we can go racing when the time is right. 15.01.2022 WOOO HOOO WERE BACK G’day everyone, hope all is well , and survived the covid lockdowns. With the easements of the covid restrictions and the help from The Dederang Hotel we will be running our New Years Day 1-1-21 meeting as planned, everyone must follow COVID guidelines what ever they are on the day, and must adhere to signage and instructions from the track marshals. We will be running... -Sports sedans -Open Ladies -Standard Saloons -Open Juniors -Unlimited’s -Motorbikes Please nominate below with name, car prefix and number, and class, before 29/12/20 to make the draw. **the race meeting will be subject to car numbers, if we don’t get enough interest or cars nominated we will be canceling the race meet** Motorbikes please nominate to Myrtleford Speedway club as per their nomination post, thank you. 15.01.2022 MEETING CANCLED Hi all, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control the committee and myself have decided to to cancel the up and coming race meeting (Sunday 16th May). This decision has not been made lightly, but due to our first aider not being well and won’t be attending, the dreaded weather, and low numbers we have decided to cancel the cars and run the day as a MOTORBIKE ONLY DAY. This has been a hard decision for us but we have to put people’s safety firs...t, also would like to give everyone plenty of notice so they can plan their weekend around it.. I do hope you all understand this decision, if you have any further question don’t hesitate to contact me via message. we look forward to seeing your nominations and support in the 21/22 season.. 14.01.2022 G’day everyone, hope all is safe and well, keeping in touch with your friends and family in these trying times, it has been a while since I have posted something so I thought I better kick things off for the season ahead when ever that will be. We at Mt Beauty Car Club would like to hear from any class that would like to race at mt beauty, we are open to any VSC Class, happy too talk to representatives. At the moment we run Standards, Vic Sports, Juniors, Ladies. Happy to ru...n any other class. We are also looking to boost the numbers at the track in our normal classes. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me. 13.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who made our New Year’s Day meeting a huge success. The Myrtleford Speedway Club brought a strong field of bikes and co-hosted a very professional show with some fast lap times from the bikes. Thanks guys, I’m not going to try and post your results except to say I’d hate to see how fast the next generation of Corbett’s are going to be if we saw evolution in action. Ultratune Wodonga’s generous sponsorship of the Standard Saloons made for some great racing b...etween the Corowa boys, Walsh from Redline and Hill from Mount Beauty in a new car. Heat 1 saw Joosten lead from flag to flag, Howie showed his form in the second heat doing the same. Patrick Walsh from Ballarat had a strong lead for four laps before finding the limit (code for threw it away all by himself) in the bottom corner handing Joosten the win for the third heat. The final saw Joosten and Fleming-Robertson off the front row and CR18 got the jump to lead the first three laps before Howie found the front and stayed there. Eames got past Joosten at the half way mark to hold second to the flag. Hill, Adzy and Fleming-Robertson scrapped for fourth which Hill held on strong for. Walsh limped home in sick B68 which seemed to have been infected by its passenger! The Juniors attracted a field of 5 starters which was great to see. After a crusty start to the day they brought their A game and put on some solid carnage free racing. The big Falcons of Collins and Taylor looked and sounded tough, young Dillon Taylor in AX4 adapted to our unique track quickly and giving Tamsin a pace setter to chase. Across the 3 heats the end results were Taylor, Collins, and Hickey for the podiums with Balins and Garlick sharing the minor placings. Vic Sports started with two fields which experienced a war of attrition through the day across a range of wet and dry tracks. The first group saw Corey McDonald take two heat wins, with Garlick in AX63 adapting fast to our track taking two seconds and a win. Young Heiner’s senior debut saw a 3rd in his first race then a very sick car had him looking for a passenger seat, watch it might be contagious! The second group got a driving lesson from Rhys Collins for the first two heats before Barnard in W69 lead the third heat from start to finish. The eight starters for the final saw Rhys leading the first three laps before Corey jumped from third to first with Rhys having a mechanical. Marcus who was in second deciding he preferred the view from fourth and Copeland who also had a quick look from second decided he would take a look from sixth. Meantime at the front Garlick continued his form by slipping into second with Benson finding great form in CR22 to take third at the final flag. At the time of writing the region is responding to the spread of fires that luckily held off for the race day. 13.01.2022 Rest In Peace Mick Harvey Also know as ‘Harves’ Mount beauty car club would like to send condolences and our thoughts to family and friends of Mick on his passing on 20th November 2020.... Mick was one of the original blokes around the club in the early days, and judging from storys and photos he was the one to beat aswell, as he was the local mechanic in mt beauty he knew how to set his car up, HARVES HURLER was the name on the car, and like most of us probably spent way to much time working on his car while having a few beers at the same time. We would like to hear some old stories of mick if you have any, weather it be racing with him or watching him race, or even just having a beer after the races, also if you have some photos don’t be scared to post them up too please. So tonight after work, raise your glass and say cheers to mick. Rest In Peace. Thank you Marcus - President

09.01.2022 **** EASTER 2-DAY **** **** RACE MEET CANCELLED **** The unfortunate decision to cancel our Easter race meet due to the current circumstances has been made, it was not an easy decision but we have been in contact with Myrtleford Speedway Club and we have decided to not run the event, it is basically been banned anyhow by the government now, but also unfair on our volunteers and the the public to hold the event, also out of respect to the other clubs who have had to ...cancel as-well. At this stage we will keep the option open for our May race meet, but we will assess that when the time comes closer. Stay safe everyone, keep your distance and we will see you on the other side, with plenty of racing to be had! Thank you! Marcus - President

09.01.2022 Time to get your nominations in Saturday 14th March, annual twilight meeting. Sports sedan feature, STANDARD SALOONS (yes they were forgotten on flyer), open juniors and ladies. Please nominate to this post, all motorbike nominations to Myrtleford speedway. Bikes will hit the track from 10:30, Cars racing from 12:30. So come along for a full day of racing action. Camping available at track hot showers, gold coin donation.

08.01.2022 HELLLLOOOOO JUNIOR DRIVERS is there any JUNIORS out there that wish to take part in this OPEN JUNIOR championship series that Julie Kerr has put a lot of time into organising, awesome work Julie . There will be 7 rounds, the last round will be at mt beauty. -Nominate as normal to clubs... -Trophy’s will be 1st - 3rd by the clubs as usual on the day and points will be given to Julie to Talley up, on the final round all points will be added and the winners 1st - 3rd will be announced for the championship. Just an idea but if anyone is interested in sponsoring/ donating some gift cards or something that would be of interest for the juniors as an encouragement for, -most improved driver of the day -best presented car -hard luck award - most heat wins -first car to spin out Just to name a few, as a good thing to encourage the juniors as well as too have some fun Don’t hesitate to contact me via message for more info and I’ll try my best to help you. 07.01.2022 Well it was awesome to have the Myrtleford boys and girls come and host a great day of bike races while our club members are still making excuses about how thei...r cars are not ready. But our President still managed to win drive of the day - getting the water truck bogged in summer. So when Marcus got the truck stuck did he say ‘fooks ’ or ‘chooks’???
