25.01.2022 NOW THAT RESTRICTIONS ARE EASING AND WINTER IS HERE ALONG WITH COUGHS AND COLDS We ask that all patients, with any kind of general illness, remain in their car when they arrive at the Medical Centre, and call reception on 57543400 to let the receptionist know that you have arrived. The doctor will then phone you to determine if you can enter the clinic or need to be assessed in our "examination" room or hospital. Your illness can include, but is not limited to; sore throat, ...runny nose, earache, cough, shortness of breath, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, headache and hay fever symptoms. We are encouraging (and prefer) patients to use the BULK BILL option of Telehealth consultations. This is a great way to have a consultation in the comfort of your home. It is very easy to use on your phone or computer and if you are unsure please ask the receptionist for directions. See more

Jasmin and Laura also provided cake at the clinic during the week so Brett was truly spoilt. Happy birthday Brett.

22.01.2022 As an essential service we will remain open as usual through this 7-day lockdown. Please remember that as per the government's lockdown laws, masks are mandatory inside and out. Please only enter the Medical Centre if you have an appointment or are accompanying someone to an appointment. If you need to book an appointment or have an enquiry, please call our receptionists on 0357543400. We have run out of all government funded masks, as we have continued to wear masks in the c...linic to protect vulnerable patients. We are so very lucky to have a small supply of masks handmade by Wilma Macdonald. Wilma has sewn and gifted 600 masks, mainly to members of our community. She has accepted few small donations for them, which has gone back into making them. This has been a huge effort and an extremely generous gesture. Some of her more colorful masks have been made from her late husband Wally's Hawaiian shirts. Thank You Wilma. See more

19.01.2022 To all our community members. To try and manage visitors to our beautiful area, we will be asking all patients if they have been to Melbourne and/or have had visitors staying with them from Melbourne. If the answer is yes, we will be asking patients to have a phone consultation (bulk billed) with one of our doctors before they come to the practice. Any patient that has been in Melbourne or have had Melbourne visitors in the last 14 days who do NOT have any symptoms (cold, cou...gh, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, temperature, sore ears or generally unwell) may be able to enter the Medical Centre but MUST wear a mask. 18.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we will see our long term receptionist Heidi leave our practice. Heidi has been working with us for 16 years and her knowledge and expertise will be sorely missed by all. Heidi's last day at work will be Friday 18th September and while we won't be able to celebrate in style we hope, by the end of the year, we will be able to have a get-together to celebrate (and commiserate) on her departure. We wish Heidi and Craig all the best for the future.

02.01.2022 We have received many enquiries about Covid Vaccines and we understand the community concerns. We have NOT received or administered ANY Covid vaccines as yet. We will be moving forward with Covid vaccination when we receive our allocation. We now have our first allocation of the Free Flu Vaccines in stock. We will be contacting our over 65 year old patients over the next few weeks to organise a time to have their vaccination. Once we have received our second allocation we w...ill be able to start contacting all other eligible patients. We have allocated a lot of Flu Clinic time over April and this will mean that general appointments will not be easily available. If you need a script repeat, referral or similar we encourage you to contact the practice as soon as possible so we can organise your appointment. We ask for your understanding while we try to get as many vaccinations done as soon as possible. Thanks everyone for your continual support.

01.01.2022 A Poem by Irvin Beeston: It started off a tangled mess, 'cos I did something silly, I slashed my finger ends to pulp, they ended up all frilly, I was using my old saw bench, on things I often made,... But now I am an S.O.B, I caught my fingers in the blade. Blood went splashing everywhere, my head was in a spin, They looked just like raw sausages, waiting for the skin, I couldn't think what I should do, after what I had done, Wrap them in a slice of bread, or in a wholemeal bun. A quick trip to the hospital, I was in a desperate need, The Missus drove like crazy, she even went at speed, The duty nurse took care of me, she knew what to do, Sat me down and talked to me, and I didn't have to queue. Then there came an Angel, But Lauren had no wings, she had a tray of needles, swabs and other things, She held my hand, used such skill, stitched for many hours, She does not need just chocolate, but a garden full of flowers. Then there came the aftercare, it took the whole Med Team Nurses, Doctors one and all, now held in great esteem, So now my hand is all stitched up, looking good as new. Please accept my grateful thanks, without you, what would we do.
