13.01.2022 This is from Google 20 minutes ago. It says East Coast US but some Australian services may be routing through there as well, affecting any Google accounts in Outlook. I have tested Gmail accounts in the browser, they are working better there, maybe work in the browser until the issue is resolved. Outlook having trouble reaching the Gmail servers. We continue to experience high levels of network congestion in the eastern USA, affecting multiple services in Google Cloud, G Suite and YouTube. Users may see slow performance or intermittent errors. Our engineering teams have completed the first phase of their mitigation work and are currently implementing the second phase, after which we expect to return to normal service. We will provide an update at 16:00 US/Pacific.
