01.01.2022 It’s very uplifting to see the Hon. Jing Lee Assistant Minister to the Premier Steven Marshall @ MCW Distillery supporting Small Business, Farmers and the Fleurieu Peninsular. Thank you Jing Lee and Eddie Liew For the hard work you do.... Jing Lee MLC Wonderful to catch up with Joe Ienco Oam and Zorica Ienco of Mount Compass Wines. Joe and his family have been making Wines and grappa for years and Mt Compass Wines has also added gin and whisky to their repertoire. Joe was born in Calabria, Southern Italy, so naturally he is very proud of his heritage and enjoys drinking grappa and acquired the art of of Distilling Gin, Whiskey and Other Spirits. His limoncello has grappa as its base and Mt Compass Wines’ spirits have already won awards internationally and he is preparing to enter his whisky and limoncello in other future competitions. We spent a relaxing and informative hour chatting with Joe and Zorica watching his gorgeous dog roaming the vineyard and seeing the small herd of sheep chewing grass through the vines. It was a perfect end to a weekend spent with beautiful friends and what a bonus to have some big wild mushrooms to take home as well.
