20.01.2022 Day 8 Mawson Trail Epic begins!

19.01.2022 Wow Day 10 of the Mawson Trail Epic and we made it. What an amazing achievement. We have had everything thrown at us but together the 3 of us came into Blinman today after leaving Rawnsley Park 95km and 1300 m climing, what an achievement 930km and over 9000km of climbing the Mawson Trail Epic is done. Thanks everyone for all your support it means so much. Together we have raised $15k for White Ribbon and together we will make a difference. This has been and Epic adventure a...nd I will arrange a party soon to share our adventure, say thanks to you all and provide white ribbon with an official donation. 13.01.2022 Mawson Trail Epic day 8 and 9 Hawker to Rawnsley Park with an emergency camp!! Day 8 was epic and nearly stopped us. The rain and hail caused havoc on the trails. We left Hawker in high spirits and hit epic mud and for 15 kms we were knee deep in mud moving 1m at a time. We managed to make a camp site and after building a fire, and with water and shelter we warmed up and were ok for the night just cold and spent hours cleaning up and had very little food. Unfortunately Scott...'s bike has a broken deuralier and blown out tyre so he was rescued today by his dad while TJ and I continued. Scott is now with us and has another bike for tomorrow. Tonight we are staying in Rawnsley Park and will have 95km tomorrow into Blinman to finish the Mawson Trail Epic! This has been one of the most challenging adventures and we have been tested in every way but our purpose has helped us make it thru, and Tomorrow when we finish we will all be very happy and relieved we made it at times we didn't think we would!!
