18.01.2022 A little message from our Guidance Officer.

17.01.2022 Dear Parents and Guardians, This morning the Premier announced that schools will remain open from the start of Term 2, Monday 20th April 2020. However, in order to reinforce social distancing across the community and slow the spread of COVID-19, state school students will move to a home-based learning model until at least 22 May 2020. Even though school have remained open, there are considerable restrictions that must be followed. These are: From the 20th April, for the fi...rst five weeks of the school term, students will be moving to a home-based learning model. Students who can learn from home, should learn from home, and not attend school. From the 20th April, for the first five weeks, school will be open for children of essential workers (who have no other supervision options for their children), vulnerable students and children in designated Indigenous communities. Learning for primary school aged children will be modified across Queensland. This means learning at our school will be different this term, and the school acknowledges for many families this will be a challenging time. During the student free days, the school spent a considerable amount of time developing paper-based learning materials for families to ensure all our students are not disadvantaged. Your child’s teacher has arranged work packages into two-week blocks with a suggested timetable. A time and location will be communicated in the coming days for parents to pick up their child’s learning pack. We will ask that parents respect the social distancing rules at this time also. While at school, the following will continue or will be implemented: Students and staff will follow strict social distancing measures with a 1.5m distance between persons. Parents are also requested to display social distancing if required to visit the school, in and out of the grounds. Student and staff will continually wash their hands with soap and water and use hand sanitisers. Sick children should stay at home. If they display any symptoms during the day, they will be sent home immediately. Parents are expected to organise collection as quickly as possible when their child is unwell at school. The school will have restricted access (this includes all learning spaces) with visitors asked to wait at the ramp area in front of the office building and call the office for someone to assist you. Cleaning of high touch areas will continue to occur throughout the school day to protect students and staff. Further information will be communicated to families prior to school commencing on Monday 20th April, 2020. Kind regards Tracy Moore Principal

04.01.2022 Schools will remain open in a limited capacity until the end of term on April 3, to allow for the children of essential workers to remain at school and for teachers to prepare to move to remote learning from home. It is vital that parents take responsibility for their children during this time.

03.01.2022 Please take note. It is important you let the office know that you intend to keep your child home due to Covid-19.
