24.01.2022 To our players, supporters, members, sponsors and volunteers, Over the past three years the MGAFC and MGJAFC clubs have seen significant growth, with the addition of Senior Women’s and QFA teams, while our juniors continue to grow and be competitive across all age groups. We are proud of our heritage and our culture as a Community Club in SE Qld. Whilst we can all acknowledge that the 2020 season was disrupted, we feel privileged to have had a successful season all the same.... During this period, we have had the opportunity to evaluate the state of the club, and have spent significant time and resources reviewing our Clubs’ position to ensure we continue to remain strong and viable well into the future. As you may recall, this evaluation has led us to explore the merging of our junior and senior clubs under a ‘one club’ entity. We have consulted with the Vulture community and other stakeholders more broadly, to ensure everyone involved with our club has a voice on this decision. Following this review, a ‘one club’ proposal has been formed that will combine the strengths of both clubs and place the Vultures in the best position to ensure its continued success moving forward. After unanimous acceptance of this proposal by the MGAFC and MGJAFC committees, we now seek your support of the ‘one club’ proposal to ensure the sustainability and growth of the Vultures club. We recognise it is important to hear from all involved in the club, so as part of the final stages of this initiative, we encourage you put forward any thoughts you may have on this proposal and invite you participate in the upcoming AGMs. Your views will help to ensure an outcome that delivers a strong and viable club into the future. If you wish to provide any feedback or have questions you still need answered, please contact us at [email protected] Thank you for your ongoing support of the Blue and White. We are looking forward to a united 2021. Mt Gravatt AFC Board & Mt Gravatt JAFC Committee
