Reading takes place in our library and sessions run for 20 minutes, where each child is one-on-one with Wally and Mrs Mountford. Wally loved the stories that were read to him!

15.10.2021 We are approaching the mid-point of the Noongar season Djilba, this season brings us a mixture of wet days with increasing number of clear, cold nights and pleasant warm days. It is also the season when our Menang plant is ready to harvest. This plant is the name sake of the Menang Noongar people of the Albany region. We have patiently waited for our bulb to establish for a couple of years before digging it up today to check on its progress, this is a very special part of ou...r bush tucker garden that we are working on with the support of Woolworths Landcare Grants and grants through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. Today we are planting out some of our new bush tucker plants into this area which is apart of our early childhood play space. Children love not only using these ingredients during our kitchen garden program but also exploring and using the real ingredients in their mud kitchen.

13.10.2021 Today our junior school took advantage of the sun shine to clear some of the Sydney Wattle around the townsite, while this weed is in flower it’s a great time to spot it and remove it!

06.10.2021 Today Mount Manypeaks Primary School is celebrating the third annual WA P&C day. 14.09.2021 We had a great visit to Albany Bunnings Warehouse Australia today to see how it is all run behind the scenes and to spend our Woolworths landcare grant to expand our bush tucker garden. We even managed to sneak a walk in between showers around Mt Melville up into the quarry site, of course we stepped in every puddle along the way!
