22.01.2022 Incredible footage caught this ANZAC Day morning on Flightradar24 of pilot, Michael Smith, drawing the Rising Sun. The first Rising Sun badge was designed in 1...902. It was the shape of a crown with bayonets around it. The ANZAC badge was worn on the up-turned brim of their slouch hats. The same badge was also placed on the grave of all the Australians who lost their lives. The Rising Sun is still worn with pride today by all past, present and future heroes. #ANZACDay2020 #LestWeForget Michael Smith. Thank you to those that helped us track down the pilot.

18.01.2022 Public Service Announcement . If on your travels you happen to come across a scene such as the below picture, you have a decision to make ! Do you:... 1) Realise that the road is closed and you cant get through; 2)Drive over the median strip and onto the wrong side of the road because this is the way you always go; 3) Drive over the nature strip and around the Police car blocking the road because your taxes pay for this road and you can drive on it if you want too. Police will often close a road due to a collision or another type of emergency. Ignoring these roadblocks may put members from all the emergency services and member of the public at risk as they may be assisting an injured person in the middle of the road at an incident. Often there will also be members from Ambulance Victoria and Fire Services Victoria on scene and doing what they do best ! Please pay attention whilst out and about and if you happen to come across a road block, follow the directions of the police member or look for the nearest turning lane and merge into it when safe to do so.

13.01.2022 Last night, we experienced a high volume of calls for assistance from non-urgent patients. All critically unwell Victorians received timely care. However there... were longer wait times than usual for patients not suffering a life threatening illness. Many non-urgent patients were provided care over the phone by our experienced nurses and paramedics through our secondary triage service. Our priority is to ensure we have adequate resources for Code 1 patients who require a lights and sirens urgent response. These patients are categorised as the sickest Victorians who require urgent lifesaving care. This is a timely reminder to all Victorians to stay on top of their health this summer as the weather warms up and many of us re-emerge from Stage 3 and 4 restrictions. We would like to take this opportunity to remind the community that Nurse on Call (1300 60 60 24) is available 24/7 free of charge to all Victorians who do not require emergency care. We also encourage the community to check in with their GP and local pharmacist to ensure their medications are up to date. We thank the community who heard and shared our messages and helped us resolve this matter overnight.

13.01.2022 Extreme Fire Danger Rating has been predicted for northern parts of the state tomorrow Expect extremely hot, dry and windy conditions. If a fire starts and takes hold, it will be uncontrollable, unpredictable and fast moving. Spot fires will start, move quickly and come from many directions.... Homes that are situated and constructed or modified to withstand a bushfire, that are well prepared and actively defended, may provide safety. You must be physically and mentally prepared to defend in these conditions. The best thing to do if a fire starts is to leave early.
