24.01.2022 THE AFL's annual Anzac Day ceremony will go ahead this year despite the COVID-19 enforced shutdown of matches, with the reciting of the Ode of Remembrance and a lone bugler playing Last Post to an empty MCG.

21.01.2022 AFL update for Community Football: COVID-19 The health and safety of our football community participants, players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and fans are paramount. The AFL is closely monitoring the situation with respect to COVID-19 and it is important that any information you receive with respect to COVID-19 or any other infectious illness comes from a reputable source. We are regularly consulting with the Australian Government, the World Health Organisation and the A...FL’s Chief Medical Officers on the best advice for our football community. The health and safety of participants, players, coaches, umpires and volunteers underpin our ability to conduct matches and sessions that are so loved by our communities, supporters and members. For weekend 14th and 15th March 2020, for community matches and current operating NAB AFL Auskick centres, please read the AFL update here. Given COVID-19 remains a situation with the potential to change rapidly, the AFL will continue to work with relevant authorities and will update the football communities as new information comes to hand. Regards, AFL

Our thanks go to Mr. Alan Paynter, President of the Mornington RSL, bugler Jordon Isbister, singer Amalie Foy and the Tyabb Aero Club for making it such a memorable tribute for our ANZACS. Thanks also go to the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League, South Mornington and Beleura Junior Football Clubs, our major sponsor Monash University, all coaches, umpires, and the MMJFC Committee.

19.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the upcoming Melbourne Metro 6 week lock down, the MPJFL have made the right call and cancelled the 2020 home and away season. A big thanks to everyone that worked hard over the past 6 weeks to get our 2020 season restarted. Especially our COVID-19 safety officers, committee, coaches, team managers and players. We will be in contact shortly about how we reimburse registration fees.

17.01.2022 Due to the increasing threat of coronavirus (Covid-19) to the broader community, AFL South East and consistent with the advice from the AFL have been advised today that all clubs in the MPJFL (which includes our club) to delay the start of our football season until after June 1st. AFL South East competition position will be reviewed around May 11 and applies to our competition including Junior Football and our Auskick clinic. When we receive updated information about the seas...on start we will pass it on. Regards MMJFC Committee http://www.aflsoutheast.com.au/afl-south-east-covid-19-co/

02.01.2022 FOR INFORMATION: Community Football Training Hi all, Please find below a copy of an email we have received from AFL South East this afternoon in regard to footy training and return to play. When we have more details, we will pass them on.... Cheers MMJFC Afternoon All, On the back of today’s State Government announcement around easing some restrictions, we have been advised that AFL Victoria’s position around training is that no sanctioned training activity should take place until further notice. AFL Victoria will seek clarity from the State Government around what today’s announcement means for community football and will be in contact in due course. A number of considerations around health and safety protocols and insurance need to be worked through before any training being sanctioned. AFL Victoria will provide AFL South East with a return to play protocol for our community leagues and clubs once the State Government approves it. As soon as I have more information, I’ll be in touch. Regards, Shaun Connell Chief Operating Officer - AFL South East
