19.01.2022 How beautiful are the sunsets at Noorat? Here’s a photo of our beautiful pub taken by Shelly. We are open from 5pm on Wednesday through to Saturday with the kitchen open for meals from 6pm. Don’t forget we have rooms available upstairs for accommodation in our historic country pub. Why not come for a weekend break? Have a meal, have a drink, retire to a comfortable room and wake up in the fresh country air. We are open on Sunday morning from 8am for breakfast and lunch as well. Call us on 0474 729 356 to book a date

17.01.2022 It’s all go in Noorat tonight. The annual Noorat to Terang Fun Run organised by Lions Club and our fundraiser for CFA. We have Matthew Sell to play for us and a sausage sizzle to fill our bellies. $10 entry tonight and a gold coin donation for a snag, can’t get much better than that!

14.01.2022 It’s St Patrick’s Day tomorrow and we are open for a pint of Guinness and craik from 6pm. While you’re at it, sign up for footy tipping. See you there!

13.01.2022 We bid you farewell for now from the Mt Noorat Hotel. We’ve worked our way through many challenges that have faced small regional hotels over the last five years. We’ve navigated our way through those and we’ll do the same now. The team had discussed ways in which we could continue to operate through a takeaway food service or home delivery. However, I needed to make a call on what was best for the team, the safety of them and their families and that of my own family. For now, that means also closing the accommodation and Sunday café. We will be back and we will ensure our small town has its beloved pub open for business as soon as it’s possible. We wish all of you well and hope that you stay safe during this period of uncertainty. #thelightswillbebackonsoon

10.01.2022 Fundraising February at the Mt Noorat Hotel was a resounding success! The staff and management would like to thank the community for their help in making it so. We raised $400 for Red Cross with our high tea, $443 for BlazeAid with our raffle, and a huge $800 for CFA! The winners of the raffle were M & W Glennen. Thank you to Brooke at The Shed, The Stolen Flower, Helen at Maryland, Georgina Conheady Millinery, and Mackfire Pump Services for their donations for the prize. Special thanks to Matthew Sell for providing such great entertainment on our CFA Fundraising night. You’re a champion!

07.01.2022 The final event in fundraising February at the Mt Noorat Hotel is to raise money for CFA Victoria. The St Patrick’s Day fire event is etched into the history of the Mt Noorat Hotel as our celebrations were cut short when many of our local CFA members raced to help with the emergency and we became a bit of a hub for people unsure of what to do. One positive thing to come out of any emergency is the building of community spirit and it is in this spirit that we are hosting this... event. February 28 at the hotel there will be live music by Matthew Sell and a sausage sizzle hosted by Mt Noorat Hotel and the Noorat CFA brigade. $10 entry fee and money from the sausage sizzle will be donated to CFA Victoria in its entirety. Doors open 5pm. The raffle being run will be drawn at this event. See more

06.01.2022 Due to this weekend being a long weekend with a lot of people enjoying the Port Fairy Folk Festival and just generally being away on holiday, we will not be opening the cafe for breakfast and lunch this Sunday 8 March. We will, however, be open for drinks on Sunday from 5pm as usual.

04.01.2022 Our local Noorat CFA brigade are helping us out at our fundraiser this Friday. We owe a debt of gratitude to these blokes for jumping up and volunteering their time to keep us safe in times of crisis. Come and see us this Friday 28th February for our final fundraising event for the month. We have live music with Matthew Sell and a sausage sizzle. $10 entry fee will be donated in full to the CFA along with the funds raised from the sausage sizzle. Our kitchen will also be open for pizzas should you wish to order one or two before the annual Terang to Noorat Fun Run. Bar opens 5pm, music from around 7pm. Ph 0474 729 356
