25.01.2022 Update on fire damaged walking tracks Six contractor teams are out in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area chipping away reconstructing 5 different tra...cks, and they are making good progress! Some tracks need to be realigned and a number of campsites are now no longer suitable so new sites need to be found. Why are some tracks still closed? Find out about the challenges and why walkers are not permitted in some areas. PWS thanks our walking community for your patience, we will open tracks as soon as we can. 22.01.2022 Kellevie MTB Park Covid-19 statement effective 5:00pm 27/03/2020 Kellevie MTB Park has always been accessible by appointment only, people wishing to ride our t...rails need to get prior approval and follow the procedures outlined by park management. Due to the current social distancing guidelines we are no longer allowing access to members of the general public until the restrictions ease. The property is also currently a work site and we need to keep the Mtn. Trails Crew and the Kellevie MTB Park trail team safe. Without their work and contributions there are no trails. We also want to encourage the social distancing recommendations as we want the community and our team to be safe. We believe the better these guidelines are adhered to the sooner we can all move through these tough times and get back to hanging out with friends and riding in groups. We also want to stand in solidarity with other facilities that have made the difficult decision to put public access on hold. Our team members and trail crew will be working regularly onsite which is good news as it means the trails will be prime when we reopen access. It does also mean that outside of the security monitoring, there will be people onsite so please respect our decision as we will be aware of people not respecting our temporary public closure. Access to the property until further notice is strictly limited to Mtn. Trails works crew and Bike Park trail maintenance crew. We will let everyone know when we can resume normal operation again. We wish everyone the best during these tough times. Stay safe. Kellevie Mountain Bike Park Crew
