24.01.2022 Well the Mt Pleasant Show is over for another year, what a day! The entertainment area was busy with the Show Ambassadors, Harry & Lucy, The Mt Pleasant Netball Gems, The Lobethal Harmony Choir, The CFS and SA Ambulance skills demonstration, The Pub Squash and our annual Human Tractor Pull Competition. The Gumleaf Trail bag sold out and our winner of a family pass was Jazintah Kirlow. ... Thank you to everyone that supported the entertainment area at the show. 22.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS Mt Pleasant Show!! The show has been successful in its application for funding to build a new, accessible administration building with suitable ...space and access for use by community groups at Talunga Park. This funding is being delivered through the Federal Government's Regional Agricultural Show Development Grants program (AgShows). Council has provided in-principle support for this project (which is part of The Big Project) and I can't wait to see these well-overdue improvements go ahead! 11.01.2022 After extensive consideration, it is with much sadness that the Society is obliged to cancel the 2020 Royal Adelaide Show. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pan...demic, and the current restrictions in place for public gatherings, along with the uncertainty of any timeline around lifting restrictions, it makes it unworkable to hold a large event such as the Show in 2020. The decision not to go ahead with the 2020 Royal Adelaide Show has not been taken lightly. It is deeply disappointing to reach this decision; however, it has been carefully evaluated and considered. It is felt the position the Society has taken is in the best interest of public health and the broader community. The Society will now turn its attention to planning and presenting a fantastic Spring Show in 2021.

09.01.2022 While today was a sad day as we weren't able to host our wonderful Mt Pleasant Show, we were able to hold our Young Rural Ambassador and Rural Ambassador Award. Thank you to Caitlin Heppner, previous Mt Pleasant Show Young Rural Ambassador and State Winner for Judging our Young Rural Ambassadors. Well done to Elaine Miller and Jacqui Palk, two remarkable young ladies competing for the Young Rural Ambassador title. ... A huge congratulations to Jacqui on winning the Young Rural Ambassador Award at Mt Pleasant Show. Congratulations must also go to Rebekah Rushton for receiving the Rural Ambassador Award, although she had no competition she is an amazing young lady who we are proud to have representing us at the Central District Show Association Finals. We cannot wait to follow your journey over the next 12 months as Ambassadors for our Show.

At this stage we will not be printing show books, however classes are the same as stated in your 2020 books. Josh Wiltshire who took out the CDSA Laucke Scone competition! Jacqui Palk who took out the CDSA Young Rural Ambassadors Award, and to Rebekah Rushton who won the CDSA Rural Ambassadors award! And finally, and so deserving, to our famous show Secretary Vicki Fawcett for taking out the CDSA Living Legends award!!
