Every morning I wake up go outside and take a photo of my vegepod so that I can document growth. MASSIVE NERD ALERT. ... While out watering a couple of days ago, I saw that one of my snow peas had reached out and taken hold of one of the stakes so as to be able to start climbing and growing with the stakes support. I have been thinking about how cute it is that my little snow pea reached out with its hand and grabbed on. And then I realised how much this reflects my life and my business. 16.01.2022 After nearly 20 years service, my time has come. I have loved being a police officer and I have always been proud of my contribution to NSW. It has been quite a ride with many highs and many lows. I have seen the best and the worst of people. I have been assaulted, sworn at and threatened. I have told people their loved ones have died and had to hold them up as they have collapsed. I have watched people take their last breath. I have seen violence inflicted on women and chi...ldren. I have locked up dangerous, violent criminals. I have investigated murders, sexual assaults, child abuse, armed robberies, arsons, domestic violence and so much more. I have worked in some of the poorest areas of Sydney and some of the wealthiest. I have worked with some of the best police officers out there and some not so great (though they are definitely in the minority). I have been hugged by victims and offenders. I have received notes of gratitude for my help. I have been nominated for Police Officer of the year. I achieved my dream of being a detective. I have always had empathy and compassion for everyone who I have come into contact with. I am sad this part of my life is over but I am proud of my contribution, it's time to move on to something new.
