24.01.2022 The connection between the organiser of this fundraiser and the recipient of the funds began with JOTA/JOTI a few years ago. A great example of the power of global connections. This seems like a very worthy cause, worth consideration.

23.01.2022 Joeys enjoyed a walk, punctuated by navigation activities tonight. Bilby and Wallaby even hid some treasure for them to find.

20.01.2022 The Joeys helped the local community tonight by cleaning up some rubbish. They were accompanied on their travels by a small friend from Port Cygnet Joeys. Look how full our rubbish bags are!

19.01.2022 Mt Stuart Cub Scouts had a great Unit Camp at Mt Field this weekend ... the weather was brilliant for our night camping, and everyone enjoyed the Waterfalls, glow worms and other adventurous activities. Apparantely the food was pretty good to!

15.01.2022 Congratulations to Group Leader (Ed), Venturer Leader (Isaac) and Cub Leader (Connell) on completing their Advanced Leadership Training today! They were presented with their Gilwell Scarf and wood beads by Chief Commissioner Mike Hovington and BCATD Geraldine Harwood.

10.01.2022 Mount Stuart Scout Group sends a shout of respect out to Justin at the Bush Bakery, Leslie Vale. Justin found a PFD that had fallen out of the Mount Stuart kayak trailer following our snorkelling and kayaking outing to Tinderbox Marine Reserve and contacted us via FB to ensure it was returned to us. Justin is living the values of Scouting, and making our community a great place to live. Thank you, Justin, for your wonderful example! See you at the Bush Bakery!

09.01.2022 Joeys completed one part of the Commissioner’s Challenge tonight. They had to work together to create a game and do they worked in patrols to make various parts of a big obstacle course. Everyone tried it out when it was finished.

09.01.2022 A great weekend was had by the Mount Stuart Cubs and Scouts up at the Lea fro JOTA-JOTI, with the Cubs having a combined camp out with the Sandford Cubs. It was a very wet Saturday and several of the tents got wet, but we had blue sky and warmer weather on the Saturday to allow several activities, including some abseiling

07.01.2022 The Joeys has a great time investigating water bugs in Lenah Valley Creek last night. Thanks to Gabrielle Balon for coordinating this activity for us.

07.01.2022 The Joeys has some Easter fun in their meeting on Zoom today. They even managed to make Easter biscuits

06.01.2022 The Mount Stuart Scout Unit has been very active in the outdoors this term. Recent activities include bushwalking, orienteering, cycling, kayaking, snorkelling, pioneer construction, and lots more! Our Scouts practice the "out" in Scouting and OAS skill development!

05.01.2022 The Joeys had a fantastic outing to the Southern Regional Joey Event today! The event was to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Joey Scouts and was held at the Botanical Gardens. The Joeys worked their way around activity bases and then enjoyed a picnic afternoon tea and cake. The cake was cut by one of the youngest Joeys and Lee from Blackmans Bay who was Tasmania‘a first Joey leader.

05.01.2022 The Joeys were delighted to win the Merit Award at District Show Time with their space-themed presentation. Reuben was pleased to accept the trophy on their behalf. Congratulations to everyone from Wellington District who participated tonight!
