14.01.2022 The MUA and Svitzer Australia have been engaged in EA negotiations for almost 12 months. Svitzer seeks to effectively obliterate Union conditions won over the past century. Svitzer MUA members have had enough and are taking the only option left for them to encourage Svitzer to bargain fairly, reasonably and sensibly. Svitzer members nation wide will be engaging in Protected Industrial Action tomorrow Friday the 13th of November. Members in Port Adelaide and Port Pirie will begin a 24 hour stoppage as of 12.01am.

Despite continuing to provide our community with an essential service (electricity) and delivering healthy corporate profits in the face of the COVID pandemic - their employer is seeking to cut wages and undermines job security by creating a two tiered wage system for enterprise agreement employees. Same Job, Less... Pay NO WAY. 12.01.2022 Eighteen months ago Australia supported the adoption of the International Labour Organisation’s Convention on Violence and Harassment (C 190), which recognises every worker’s fundamental right to be free from all forms of violence and harassment at work, including gender-based violence and harassment. 08.01.2022 Anyone who visited the below locations during the listed times must self-quarantine immediately for 14 days and seek testing. It's important for all South Australians to remain vigilant at this time. To protect yourself and others and help stop the spread of coronavirus: Practice good hygiene like covering coughs and sneezes and wiping down surfaces....
