04.01.2022 Introducing our next athlete, Jayden The Coyote Kingsley of ACT. He is a regular competitor at the MTA National championships and having stepped onto the podium on 4 occasions. Jayden has been selected on two occasions to wear the green and gold , however, could only travel internationally to represent Australia at the IFMA World Championships in 2018. There, Jayden competed against Kazakhstan and was grateful for the opportunity to train with and get to know his teammate...s from all over Australia, as well as to meet athletes from around the world. A memory he wont forget was having all the taxi and tuk tuk drivers ask for photos with him, perhaps it was the green and yellow mohawk that captured their attention . Due to border closures during this world pandemic, Jaydens 2 upcoming matches are currently on hold. He was set to step over the ropes to face Kobe Sandilands on Siam2Sydney promotions and Dré Stalder on 31 October 2020. When asked who he would like to take on, Kobe Sandilands was the first name to come to his mind. Jayden mentioned that this is due to having their fight canceled, twice. He also mentioned Dré again to gauge his improvement over the last year. At age 5 Jayden began training Muaythai, now having 9 years of training up his sleeve he has emphasized that he would like to continue Muaythai for the rest of my life. Lee hard as Fook and Zoe Putorak are two fighters that he aspires to be like based on their skill and work ethic. Jaydens favourite weapon is an uppercut elbow and is keen to throw one in battle again one day soon. With only 4 years experience, he is also quite new to the sport, and he still has many goals he wishes to achieve. An opponent that Eddie would like to face is Cody Robinson. So promoters, lets make this one happen. He trains out of Muaythai Mulisha, and so has many athletes to aspire to. Eddies favourite Australian fighters are Chris Johnstone and Kim Townsend. He says Chris inspires me every day in the gym to be better than the day before and has made a life out of what he loves.. 03.01.2022 Introducing our next athlete, Dallas George of NSW He is another of our Junior athletes who were selected for the Australian National Team 2020. Dallas represented the country during 2019 in Turkey at the IFMA Youth World Championship where he faced Russia, Turkey & Jordon to bring home the Gold medal. His last bout was at the 2020 Australian National Championships where he shared the ring with one of New Zealands competitors, Kyrin Togia, taking the win... Dallas emphasized that it is his dream to become a professional athlete and face his idol, Charlie Bubb. It is fantastic that our Australian athletes continue to inspire our youth. 02.01.2022 Introducing our next athlete, Nathan Jnr Jones of NSW Prior to Covid-19 he was set to make his professional debut on SRG Promotions Yokkao show in April 2020 and the year was looking to be an exciting one. Nathans last fight was on Next Generation, 29/02/2020, against Josh McCulloch, and this fight left him itching to return to the ring. He has been training Muaythai for 8 years. Although he has always been actively part of some sort of sport, which at the time he started Mu...aythai was Footy, he was seeking more of a challenge than what other sports could offer him. The appealing factor of Muaythai was the fact that you had total accountability on yourself. Nathan says that although there is a strong bond and team in Muaythai training, to a degree you do not need to rely on others as much as you do in other team sports. At the age of 15 he stepped into the ring for the first time and has not looked back since, even dipping his toes into other martial arts and has had 6 Boxing fights too. Nathan took on Jordie Bargallie for the MTA state title as amateurs, but it would be great to see these two battle it out once again in the professional ranks. Again, Australia has fantastic athletes that can be an inspiration to all. When we asked Nathan which Australian athletes inspire him, this was his response. I loved watching daddy kool when I was starting out, but as of right now you cant look past Toby Smith, there is only one Toby Smith and there are not many that can say they have done what he has. Fun fact: Ive always been a breaky man! Id much rather be going out for a mean breaky feed over a dinner outing. Its a tradition for the morning afterfights J O N E S Please contact Yolo directly, on Instagram (@landa_yolo), Facebook (facebook.com/yolanda.ptj) or email [email protected] if you wish to be part of these athlete profiles, particularly if you are a WMC/MTA title holder, the National gold medalist or an IFMA medalist. #mta #muaythai #jones #muaythaiaustralia #nakmuay #australianchamp #novamartialarts
