22.01.2022 Some good news! Looks like we got a path to get shows back on deck #muaythainsw #muaythaiaustralia #

20.01.2022 Let’s end 2020 with something special #Repost @siam2sydney with @make_repost We are back ... November 29, more details coming very soon. Fighters, it's time to get serious! We'd also like to welcome our new sponsors Twins Special Thailand to the team and thank them for jumping on board and supporting Muaythai in Australia #s2s #siam2sydney #muaythai #muaythaiaustralia

17.01.2022 Up next on our Muay Tales series is @nathanjnrjones of @nova_martial_arts My first trip to Thailand was 2018 with the Australian Team for the WMO Championships, that alone was an eye opener, I ended up fighting 3 times in 3 days in the most stacked division they had that year, I managed to get a bronze metal, 3 stitches, & a broken nose, loved it but it wasn’t enough. 2019 I went back to compete again but went early, I left early Jan and returned after the Games in l...ate March. I wanted to experience a Thai style training camp, not just for the competition but to get a few fights under my belt leading up to it also. At the time Luktupfah Muay Thai Academy in BKK was a good choice. The training was good, like nearly all gyms in Thailand, lots of running, lots of pads, sprints, conditioning etc and I stayed on camp. My first night I barely slept and had my trainer banging on my door at 5am. We would go running early mornings to beat the heat and he would ride a scooter behind us. When he didn’t feel like chasing us to run faster, the local dogs would. There was one street in and out to the gym & there was a group of dogs that congregated at the start of the street, you couldn’t avoid them. I actually seen multiple people including my trainer get bitten while I was there. Both of my fights for the gym were short notice, it was kind of expected though as I had limited time there and wanted to get the most of it. My first one I was given a couple of days, my second one I found out mid way through a 10km run when my friend I was running with says ‘why you running you fight tomorrow.’ After the first fight I pulled up okay and said to my trainer I would be happy if I could get another one in but no one had said anything. Turns out he wasn’t kidding so I turned my ass around and walked back to camp to give the legs a rest there was no weigh in or anything though so it wasn’t a problem. #muaythainsw #muaythaiaustralia #muaythai #muaytales #athletesofmnsw #fighter #nakmuay #athlete #sport See more

15.01.2022 MTA NSW and WMC titles are some of the most sort after and legitimate titles in the country. We are currently in the process of updating our state rankings, and looking to keep them current and legitimate. If you are a CURRENT and ACTIVE Muaythai rules fighter in NSW, registered as a Pro or Am and would like to be considered for rankings and future WMC & MTA tiles, please complete the online form ASAP.... https://forms.gle/Nfc16Tb53MVHcVeJ9 FYI the process is that fighters/trainers submit their details, then the MTA-NSW Rankings committee meet to deliberate on the submissions based on records and opponents fought, then the rankings are published. The current MTA-NSW Rankings Committee is Andrew Parnham, Luis Regis and Shane Greenwood.

13.01.2022 New addition to our Athletes of MNSW series. We have WMC State champion and regular on A-class promotions like Siam 2 Sydney and Rebellion: Jamie Alleyne of PTJ - Photajaroen Muaythai Gym. by W.L Fight Photography I first got into Muay Thai when I was around 18. I only went there because my friend owed me money. I remember the trainer there telling me to take it easy but I was so adamant I keep up with everyone. I remember I couldn’t move for a week. That same lesso...n we practiced wai kru and the trainer put this strange spiritual music on! After that I was hooked. Muay Thai was my best kept secret. Just in case anyone started some trouble with me. Which was quite common where I come from. Muay Thai came to me at a strange time in my life. I was heading down the wrong path and unhappy with my situation but when training Muay Thai it really helped to keep me grounded and focused. Gave me a true purpose. Even to this day I get a sense of freedom, which is most important to me. Muaythai has completely changed and shaped my life. Training and Competing helped me live my life better. It’s took me on this unimaginable journey across the world. Creating solid relationships and family along the way. Over a decade later I’ve found a home here in Sydney, Australia at PTJ Muaythai gym, Gladesville, where I’m lucky enough to pass down knowledge to the young up and comers and where I am still learning something new every week. That’s the best thing about Muay Thai and any martial art. It always rewards hard work and dedication. Inside and outside the gym . #muaythainsw #muaythaiaustralia #athletesofmnsw #muaythai #athlete #sport #fighter #ptjgym #waikru

12.01.2022 New Addition to our Athletes of MNSW is WMC and IFMA World title holder, Sindy Maricic of CKO Muay Thai Gym in the central coast, NSW. Muay thai is the life and breath of Sindy Ranked #1 in Australia for over 10 years and World Title holder in several weight classes in Muay Thai. Her inspirational journey began in 1996 after she attended a Muay Thai seminar, falling in love with the Art of the sport she travelled to Thailand to train with masters of Muay Thai and Co-f...ounded CKO Muay Thai gym with her coach Maurice Cooper. Just some of her Titles (there are too many to list) WMC 2010 World Title 66kg WMC 2009 World Title 69kg IFMA 2009 WorldTitle67kg WMC Australian Title 2006 69kg WMC Oceania Title 2006 69kg. Such was her dedication and passion for the sport, she became the first female to compete for a world title on the K1 Max in Sweden in 2006 and then the first female to fight full Thai rules in NSW. Sindy is an accredited judge and referee of IFMA and WMC, contributing to the government document that recognised Muay Thai as an official sport in Australia. She was the first female referee to officiate professional men's and women' s full Thai rule competition in Australia, and was the main referee on Fox Sports for kickboxing & MuayThai in NSW. Sindy has paved the way for women to compete in Muay Thai in Australia and officiate men's fights. Sindy continues to pass on her knowledge and still teaches with passion and enthusiasm. #muaythainsw #muaythaiaustralia #athletesofmnsw #muaythai #muayying #nakmuayying #cko #athlete #sport

09.01.2022 Up next on our Athletes of MNSW is Deren Chen of @ptjmuaythaigym. I’ve been training Muay Thai for about 5 years and started fighting professionally 2 years ago. From 2017 to 2019 I was training and fighting full-time as a sponsored fighter at @santaimuaythai in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Santai gave me the opportunity to live and train there long term, and taught me a lot of what I know and use today. I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done for me When I came bac...k to Sydney, I started training at my current gym @ptjmuaythaigym where they have only helped me improve on what I know and added so much more things to my game as well. Thanks Andy, Sing and Chok for all their coaching and guidance. In my opinion, if you’re serious about doing Muay Thai, you need to spend a good amount of time in Thailand training and fighting. You have the best trainers and fighters in the world, and just being around so much Muay Thai knowledge constantly will inevitably make you a much better fighter, much quicker than if you’re outside of Thailand. #muaythainsw #muaythaiaustralia #athletesofmnsw #athlete #nakmuay #ptj #muaythai #sports
