09.01.2022 Update for our locals. Unfortunately we need to make some changes to our opening hours. Please see our new trading hours which we hope will be just short term. Our kitchen will be open until 7:30 on Friday nights for all your takeaway needs and will close at 6.30pm on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to see our trading return to normal as soon as possible.

07.01.2022 How are you finding the regional border closures? Safe to say there has been some confusion, especially for those on the Wheatlbelt/Metro border. The Wheat...belt region commences northbound once you enter the Shire of Chittering which you will notice signs for as you travel along Muchea South Road or Great Northern Highway. However, checkpoints for entry into and out of the Wheatbelt region are set much further north than this point, beyond the Muchea townsite, which has led to some people believing they are unable to access Muchea General Store for the essential services they offer. It has also unfortunately left the path clear for people living south of those checkpoints to still be able to travel into the Metropolitan region, even though technically they are crossing the border. If you are in the Shire of Chittering/Wheatbelt you are still allowed to access services at Muchea General Store - you may just have to pass through a checkpoint (and these are not roadblocks those permitted to pass through can!). Make sure you carry your driver’s licence and/or current proof of address.
