23.01.2022 TOBIAS IS BACK HOME...! After the sale of our beloved Tobias we all felt like their was a hole in our hearts, thinking we made the correct decision we moved along but he never strayed far from our minds. After hard work and determination Tobias has finally returned home to us and we are beyond ecstatic with his arrival.

22.01.2022 LETS SPREAD SOME AWERENESS..! Just a small reminder, please test you mares!

22.01.2022 Woodstock Smokin Aussie is officially a gelding as of today, unfortunately he sustained an injury to the testicles by an outside mare and was unable to recover his semen count. Aussie will remain here for the rest of his days as my ridden gelding and what an amazing gelding he is going to be. Luckily we do actually have one mare in foal to Aussie due the 8th of December and we can not wait to meet him or her.

19.01.2022 Woodstock Smokin Aussie letting off some steam

19.01.2022 This years breeding season has begun, to help people better understand the requirements of breeding over the next week I will be posting research from the Animal Genetics Lab about Genetic disorders found in the Paint and Quarter horse breeds. It seems to have caught my attention that a lot of people are not aware of the 6 panel tests that are available for Paints and Quarter horses to be tested for. PSSM1, GBED, HYPP, MH, HERDA and LWO are very important tests and are inexpensive when it comes down to making sure you are putting healthy foals onto the ground.

18.01.2022 Poco Bueno. The English translation reads, pretty good. It is a wishy-washy compliment for one of the most influential sires of the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Fo...aled in 1944, Poco Bueno was by King P-234 and out of Miss Taylor. The plain brown colt did not possess his sires regal blood bay color, and he was a late bloomer. In October of 1945, Hankins loaded the colt and some other horses, and hauled them to San Angelo, Texas. E. Paul Waggoner of the Waggoner Ranch bought the brown yearling for $5,700. Waggoner shipped the stallion to his Three D Stock Farm in Arlington, Texas, and began showing Poco Bueno. The brown colt won several shows such as the Denver National Western Stock Show and Southwestern Exposition & Fat Stock Show. Bob Burton broke the two-year-old to ride, but it was Pine Johnson who showed the brown stallion to cutting fame. Johnson took Poco Bueno to the toughest competitions, and the duo consistently raked in the prizes. Waggoner then sent Poco Bueno back to the arena to earn his AQHA Champion title. The stallion earned the award at the same time as his daughter Poco Lena. Poco Bueno sired 405 registered foals. Of these, 36 were AQHA Champions, and three are in the National Cutting Horse Associations Hall of Fame: Poco Mona, Poco Stampede and the renowned Poco Lena. Fagan once said, To tell you the truth, Poco Bueno was the greatest horse Ive ever been with, and Ive been around a lot of them. He was easy to handle. Gentle. And smart. Nearly all his colts were the same way. The brown stallion died in 1969, and was buried standing up across from the ranch entrance. A four-ton granite marker marks the special spot. Poco Bueno was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 1990 His show career started when he was named champion yearling stallion at the Texas Cowboy Reunion Quarter Horse Show in Stamford, Texas. He was grand champion stallion in the 1940s at Denvers National Western Stock Show, the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show in Fort Worth, State Fair of Texas in Dallas and the American Royal in Kansas City.[ As a 4-year-old, in 1948, Poco Bueno started his performance career as a cutting horse, trained and shown by Pine Johnson, who worked for E. Paul Waggoner at his 3D Stock Farm in Arlington, TX.[3] He was the first Quarter Horse to be insured for $100,000.00.[1][4] Poco Bueno sired 405 registered AQHA foals, 222 were performers.[1] His most successful crosses were on the daughters of Blackburn. Among his famous get were Poco Stampede, Poco Tivio, Poco Lena, Poco Mona, Poco Bob, Poco Dell, and Poco Pine.[5] Poco Bueno died November 28, 1969. Mr. Waggoner left specific instructions in his will that Poco Bueno was to be buried in a standing position in a grave across from the ranch entrance on Texas Highway 283. The plot of ground was landscaped with trees and grass. A granite marker, weighing four tons, was engraved with his name, picture and the inscription Champion and Sire of Champions
