25.01.2022 Special father and his girls.... This special dad, Anthony has 3 daughters - Alice, Heidi & Annika. We noted that he is adored by his girls and that adoration can come about by their dad loving them unconditionally, infusing confidence/self esteem and teaching the girls to be the best human beings they can be. This influence and foundation from their awesome Dad helps them progress on with being happy adults. Mum, Renee organised a trike ride from the girls to celebrate Dad ...on Fathers Day. We fitted in a couple of tastings, cruised around and got some awesome footage for the family to remember in the years to come. Whilst Clarence has visited Mudgee many times for his work in the medical profession, he’s never enjoyed the sights and experiences so just had to visit and complete the fun tasks! Berry & Clarence bought up at Honey Haven which qualified them for a free frequent flyer honey ice cream - yummo! ... Tastings at Pieter van Gent where it really is best to buy the Pipeclay White by the flagon, Steins for their award winning Riesling and The Distillery - have you tasted their butterscotch schnapps? 15.01.2022 City folk supporting our regional communities - June long weekend. Syd & Rosa visited Mudgee to specifically support our regional community. We had the best day together on Sunday and painted the town green. ... We were flat out keeping up to our schedule because we were enjoying kicking back in the gardens of the wineries for our tastings. (we could have possibly fitted in a couple of extra wineries too) AND we also managed to fit in a roast lamb lunch! Emma organised a weekend away for James 30th Birthday in #Mudgee and Jamess sister organised the trike ride for them both. #sisters James & Emma like to celebrate their birthdays over a month including catching up with family, weekends away, doing things they havent done before and the celebrations were continuing when they got home with a catchup dinner with friends. A winery tour provided the perfect opportunity to stock up on drinks for the guests.... 12.01.2022 Getting out of your comfort zone on your birthday... Linda and Sharon were celebrating Sharons birthday. When I picked the girls up they mentioned that they usually favour one type of wine. Theyd already visited the best place to purchase their specialty so on with the exposure therapy to some new and unfamiliar tastings. The girls were good sports and tried all the tastings presented with some of them being a pleasant surprise. Often you will end up loving the new things ...you try and life begins at the end of your comfort zone so the girls did themselves proud riding the trike and discovering new drinks to quench the thirst. Amy & Symone are on a mission to visit every winery in #mudgee and a few more wineries were ticked off the list this weekend. ... Amy had to cancel her wedding at Mudgee 2 weeks before she was to get married earlier this year. The hens night was held here before Xmas and she just cant wait to be able to tie the knot but the wait is just giving the girls a bit more time and a few more weekends away to taste test and get ready. Symone was a little bit hesitant to ride the trike but as you can see she settled in nicely and was quite comfortable....didnt have to hang on as was trying to catch bugs. 11.01.2022 Alan & Anne from Coffs Harbour were on the other trike on Friday. We kicked back in the gardens for our tastings surrounded with hills and paddocks in the background. We cruised around all of this beautiful scenery and the joy of the wind and fresh air blowing in our faces had us grinning. 11.01.2022 Sit back and enjoy.... We were recommended to Joy, Lesley & Maureen for a joyride while they visited #mudgee. We picked the ladies up and headed to Gulgong for a run. Initially, we eased into the ride to let the ladies settle in and then we got the grins in the rearview mirrors. ... We showed them around #gulgong and also a few good shopping spots and we have no doubt that the markets and shops in town got a bit of retail therapy after we dropped the ladies back. Josh & Kristen both turned 30 recently and Joshs mum, Sue bought them a Mudgee Trikes Wine Tour for their birthdays as a surprise. #awesomemum Josh and Kristen were waiting for the surprise and trying to guess what they were getting. First thoughts were a Hot Air Balloon ride which is an awesome adventure too unless you arent too keen on heights which Josh isnt so they were both very happy when I turned up and they were staying grounded... on a trike ride. We talked about them acting all mature-like now that theyve turned 30 and the need to be seen acting their age but then we were like nnnaaahhh, dont think so, lets still behave like were in our 20s and so we toured. 07.01.2022 Putta Bucca Wetlands.... Peter and David stopped off in Mudgee during an epic 2 week road trip from Noosa, Gold Coast, NSW South Coast, Canberra and more to come! Enjoyed Gilbert’s, High Valley Cheese, PVG, lap of Mt Frome, Honey Haven.... and a walk around Putta Bucca Wetlands in search of a Platypus but didn’t see one. Also missed seeing the 5 cygnets that hatched at Putta Bucca some weeks ago. ... Putta Bucca Wetlands is home to wallabies, turtles, platypus, bird life, fish, swans, frogs and water birds. It is calming to walk the 2km route and look for the variety of wildlife that you might see including a Rainbow Bee-Eater or an Australian King Parrot. Getting back to nature and a trike ride are good for your health and well-being while on holidays. Fresh air and a stroll around the lake - magic! 03.01.2022 Look closely... Janette toured with us and Spring is here. If you look closely there are now buds on some of the vines. Very exciting to think first come the buds, then the leaves followed by flowers and a grape berry that will yield us a crop resulting in more wine produced for drinking next season. Janette took the tour very seriously and started out as she intended to finish - flat out. It was like Rightio, where to next? Needless to say we did our best to accommod...ate Janette and get her to as many cellar doors as we could comfortably fit in and she did her best to be nominated shopper of the season by buying up bottles; many bottles. Supplies are that much lower now so we need those vines to get cracking to replenish stocks. We appreciate all our lovely visitors like Janette visiting and supporting our locals and the region so thanks Janette. While wine tasting, one of the hosts mentioned the girls were having conniptions (a fit of hysterics) from their antics and their laughter. ... The wine obviously helped relax Simone, Bridget & Christines imagination; they used colour to express their emotions when creating the works of art and the happy mood was reflected resulting in the bold pink and blue coloured masterpiece in the photo.
