Come on out and enjoy a ride on a miniature train, including a genuine steam powered locomotive. Unfortunately we may not have the canteen in operation this time, we wont know for sure until the day.... For details about fares etc, see our facebook page. We must advise that we do not have eftpos facilities, it is cash only. Please note that everyone who rides on the trains must wear FULLY ENCLOSED SHOES. 22.01.2022 MUDGEE MINIATURE RAILWAY Running day Sun 13th Sept 2020 ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT -be quick if you want to attend -- 1st in, 1st served!... Hello all Our next public running day at the Mudgee Miniature Railway will be on Sunday 13th September 2020. All tickets are pre-booked & pre-paid and are available to book now. Tickets are $10 per person whether riding the train or not. There are six 30 minute running sessions available with a maximum of 10 people per session. Attendance is limited to residents of the Mid Western Regional Council & Warrumbungle Shire Council areas only ( NO EXCEPTIONS ). 22.01.2022 MUDGEE MINIATURE RAILWAY public night run Saturday 5th Oct 2019 4-30 pm till 9 pm... The Mudgee Miniature Railway will be holding their 4th annual public night run from 4-30 pm until 9 pm on Saturday 5th October 2019 at our miniature railway park at the corner of Ulan rd & Buckaroo Rd, approx 6 kms from town. 21.01.2022 Hi all. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances with the coronavirus and the ban on gatherings of more than 100 people (indoors only) and the rapid spread of this virus, we have made the choice to cancel all our running days until further notice. This also means that our Hawkesbury River Cruise is cancelled. All money will be refunded, please be aware this may take time. It is as shame but the health of our members and the public must be our greatest concern.... Keep an watch on our facebook page and we will advise when everything returns to normal and we can run again. Sorry for any inconvienience this causes and we hope to see you when we start running again.

19.01.2022 Mudgee Miniature Railway . Sunday 10th Jan running day cancelled . Due to the spread of covid outside of the Sydney area, we have cancelled the public running day on Sunday 10th January 2021.... Our apologies for any inconvenience this causes but none of us, many of who are in the vulnerable group, wishes to contract covid. We should be open for the February running day but all pre-booked & pre-paid with limitations on the area from which patrons are from. We were hoping to open in January on a more normal open attendance ( with limitations & conditions ) but the rise & spread of covid beyond Sydney has put paid to that idea until further down the track. 18.01.2022 VINTAGE RAIL MOTOR TRAIN RIDE Dunedoo to Merrygoen & return Saturday 16th Nov 2019 The Mudgee Miniature Railway is again running a train trip from Dunedoo to Merrygoen & return using these 1920 era rail motors on Saturday 16th November 2019.... The train will depart Dunedoo at 5-45 pm & will return at about 7-05 pm. With daylight saving in operation, there will be plenty of daylight for the trip. Tickets are just $15 per person and are on sale now from the Dunedoo Newsagency at 46 Bolaro St, Dunedoo ( ph 63751114 ). Purchase early to avoid the disappointment of missing out on a ticket. This Sunday we will have a display at the grounds by the Cudgegong Valley Antique Machinery Club who will have some historic engines on display and running so come on out and have a look at them in action. 16.01.2022 MUDGEE MINIATURE RAILWAY Running day 16th August 2020 A big thankyou to everyone who came out to our railway today for our 1st public running day since March. Everyone who attended had pre-booked & pre-paid.... We learnt a lot from this ruuning day and our next running day should be better. Our next running day will be on Sunday 13th September and bookings are now open. More details will be posted shortly. 14.01.2022 MUDGEE MINIATURE RAILWAY A big thank you to everyone who came out to our public night run on Saturday 5th Oct 2019. We had a very good crowd, plenty of trains and good weather.... The public night run will be on again next year on the Saturday of the Labour day long weekend.

We would like to advise that our running day on Sunday 16th August is now fully booked with no more spots available. All going well, our next running day will be Sunday 13th September. 13.01.2022 HERITAGE TRAIN TRIP FROM BROADMEADOW TO THE HAWKESBURY RIVER CRUISE - SAT 11TH APRIL 2020. The Mudgee Miniature Railway would like to advise that the heritage train trip from Broadmeadow to the Hawkesbury River railway station at Brooklyn and the 4 hour cruise on the Hawkesbury River and Broken Bay, is NOW SOLD OUT. Thank you to all who have booked on this trip.

While there will be tickets available on the day at the Gulgong railway station, it is best to contact us on 0458555929 to reserve your ticket ( leave contact on messagebank if not answered, we will definitely call you back ). If purchasing on the day at the Gulgong railway station, please be there no later than 11-30 am and have the exact cash amount for the fare. The train departs at 11-45 am & returns at about 12-45 pm. 10.01.2022 VINTAGE RAIL MOTOR TRAIN TRIP Newcastle to Gulgong & return weekend trip Sat 16th & Sun 17th November 2019 The Mudgee Miniature Railway, in conjunction with the Rail Motor Society at Paterson (near Newcastle) is running a train trip using 1920s vintage rail motors and we invite you to join us and experience rail travel from another era. ... Saturday The train will depart Broadmeadow ( Newcastle ) at 8 am & travel via Singleton, Muswellbrook and along the Scenic Sandy Hollow line through Denman and then beside the Goulburn River and along the edge of the Wollemi National Park to the historic gold mining town of Gulgong. Gulgong is the town on the original ten dollar note & the town associated with the great Australian poet - Henry Lawson. At Gulgong, a bus will transfer you to the Centennial Hotel for lunch. Accommodation on Saturday night is either at the Ten Dollar Town Motel in Gulgong or at the Wanderlight Motor Inn at Mudgee ( bus transfer is included ). Saturday night meal is at the motel. Sunday After breakfast at the motel, the bus will take you to the Mudgee Honey Haven for Honey tasting and mead tasting and then wine tasting at a local winery before travelling back to Gulgong for lunch at the Gulgong RSL Club before rejoining the train for the return trip to Newcastle. 10.01.2022 MUDGEE MINIATURE RAILWAY Sunday 19th May 2019 We are holding the annual "Blowfly rally" at our track and we invite you to come out tomorrow, 19th May, between 10 am and 2 pm and have a ride and see many trains from other clubs that are not normally seen in Mudgee. There will be a large variety of trains on display and plenty of steam trains there.... Normal cost to ride and remember to wear fully enclosed shoes to ride on the trains. Hope to see you there

09.01.2022 RAIL MOTOR TRAIN RIDES Sat 16th & Sun 17th Nov 2019 Organised by the Mudgee Miniature Railway The Mudgee Miniature Railway is running several train trips using 1920s era rail motors.... Sat 16th Saturday evening train to Dunedoo with 3 course meal & murder mystery show at the Dunedoo Bowling Club is sold out - no tickets available. Sun 17th 2 trips on Sunday 1)- Depart Gulgong at 9-30 am and travel from Gulgong to Dunedoo & return. Cost is $20 per person. 2)- Depart Gulgong at 11-45 am and travel from Gulgong to Ulan & return. Cost is $15 per person. In previous years, the train is usually sold out by the time the train runs, so if you want tickets please book early. 06.01.2022 MUDGEE MINIATURE RAILWAY Thanks to all who came out on Sunday 8th September 2019 to enjoy our facilities and ride on our trains. We were lucky to be visited by Ian Roberts from the MELSA Rockhampton club in Queensland. Ian brought with him a 5" gauge model of the Queensland Railways C16 class 4-8-0 steam loco and ran all day helping us provide rides to our visitors.... Our next running day is our public night run on Saturday 5th October from 4-30 pm till 9 pm. All welcome.

04.01.2022 MUDGEE MINIATURE RAILWAY 2019 Blowfly Rally An awesome day at the Mudgee track for the main day of the Blowfly Rally & Birthday Weekend Run.... Great weather and a great turnout. We had 31 visiting locos comprising of 20 steam locos and 11 electric / petrol locos. Of these, there were 11 Blowfly locos or variants thereof. There were also 5 Mudgee club locos operation at various times during the day ( and night ). The awards were handed out at 3 pm and the winners were * MOST POPULAR BLOWFLY LOCO Adam bell from Hornsby SME "Greenbottle" * MOST POPULAR NON-BLOWFLY LOCO John Craggs from Hornsby SME "Toby tram" * BEST VARIATION OF THE BLOWFLY DESIGN ( as chosen by the Mudgee club ) Dennis Coomer from Western Districts L. S. "Tramfly" The designer of the Blowfly loco, Barry Potter, presented the medallions to the winners. Congatulations to all the winners and a huge thankyou to all our visitors from other clubs who made the day a success. The Blowfly Rally continues tomorrow ( Sun 19th ) so if you are in the Mudgee area, call in and say hello.
