25.01.2022 Latest advice from NSW Health is to strongly recommend the wearing of masks at church. We have a limited number available in case you forget to bring one. It will feel strange for us. There are times when it will be impractical (e.g. preaching). Its not compulsory at this stage, but it may be a way to care for those around you. Connecting online remains an option for people: http://pimcongregationconnect.org/b/ian-7x3-gcx

25.01.2022 A prompt from our Bible talk this morning. How has God given you a chance to do this?

25.01.2022 Getting ready for YIBES - more Marks gospel tonight. Bring it on!

25.01.2022 Cracking article from Peter Adam, a wise and gentle pastor. Making Peace will be part of the Disciple Making Toolbox well explore next year. https://au.thegospelcoalition.org/a/churches-and-conflicts/

25.01.2022 Thanks to the team at Mudgee Baptist Church for hosting the Basecamp livestream. A good chance for us blokes to consider Jesus teaching on Anger, Weakness and Comfort. Great morning!

24.01.2022 Glad to be praying for Gods merciful rain at the same time as our Gulgong friends, this Sunday. (Theyre more clever with the artwork! Well done)

24.01.2022 Getting geared up to start YIBES youth Bible study tonight. Still trying to figure out a logo for that... Fantastic bunch are planning to be there. Open to anyone in year 6 through high school who wants to get to know Jesus and how to live life following Him. From 6-7:30 at the church building.

24.01.2022 Very similar to todays Bible talk! https://www.abc.net.au//scott-morrison-urges-aus/12140404

24.01.2022 The YIBERS enjoying some home cooked lasagne, thanks Wallaces, and chewing over what it means to have the same mindset as Christ Jesus (Phil. 2)

24.01.2022 Still room for a couple more if youd like somewhere to be tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=549892862526206

23.01.2022 "I am the Light of the World" Wonderful words from Jesus, in a world that is so often dark, confusing and difficult. Come along on Sunday, form 9:30 am, and be encouraged to walk in Jesus guidance, so we might stumble less! Read Ahead: John 8:12-20 Songs: ... - To God Be the Glory - Never Alone - Hear Our Prayer - I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say See more

23.01.2022 Great progress on the Manse Upgrade. Watch out for limited parking arrangements on Sunday. You can probably access the yard through the side lane and a gap in the back fence, but might want to simply park on the street.

22.01.2022 Two weeks ago we read that kings in Israel should write out parts of the scriptures. Its a good habit for us, too. Heres one (not mine) that Ive seem this week. Excellent way to store up the scriptures in your heart!

22.01.2022 https://gsandc.org.au/vaccinations-the-big-questions/ Here are some thought provoking and helpful resources about vaccines. I cab't say I've read through it all to endorse the views here, but these guys are usually well thought-through.

21.01.2022 This will help our planning for 2021, in response to a great discussion at the congregational meeting last Sunday.

20.01.2022 Remember, the Barnabas Fund Update Seminar is starting soon! https://barnabasfund.org/au/

20.01.2022 Fantastic time at the Family Fun Carols Night! Great food, relaxing conversations and singing classic carols. And... weve got plenty of left-over bread. Any Mudgee people need a few bread rolls. (Weve got lots!)

19.01.2022 Wonderfully thoughtful and kind words from Brian Rosner https://www.abc.net.au//kierkegaard-and-coping-wi/12203806

18.01.2022 Well done for all the hard work this morning. Lots of jobs done, and good fun working together. See you soon.

16.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Those who tried the first Youtube link last week were probably frustrated, as was I. I've created a channel for church, where you'll be able to find lots of material in future, as well as the current livestream link for each week. Testing has gone well, and I hope it will all run smoothly tomorrow, but if there's an issue we may need to refresh the stream. It's frustrating, but it doesn't seem possible to just reset and continue.... Here's the Church Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC38HdcKYLZUp5xakKCYm6eQ You will see the live link when it's active tomorrow morning. I'm preaching about Mary & Martha next week: "Martha was distracted by all the preparations which needed to be made" Pray that these sorts of things will enable our growth and worship, rather than be a distraction! Blessings, Ian.

16.01.2022 Looking forward to the next Men's Breakfast, this Saturday15th May, 8-10am. Plenty of time to do park run and then drop in!

15.01.2022 An excellent letter. Wouldn't the changes to distance or singing be a boost for our life together!

14.01.2022 An excellent resource, especially as we work our way through Deuteronomy and how we should be shaped by it as followers of Jesus! https://visualunit.me/2020/05/31/gods-big-story/

13.01.2022 Church on Sunday: Catch up on Bible Talks Here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzovYGzQPwYajdbJhzn_SeA Log in to Sunday Gatherings Here:... http://pimcongregationconnect.org/b/ian-7x3-gcx YIBES Youth Bible Study Connect Here: http://pimcongregationconnect.org/b/ian-xtr-urr Our gatherings on Sundays will be different for the next few months. Well be using the Congregation Connect platform which weve used in the past to connect with Gulgong. You can log on through the link below. Please allow a few minutes before 9:30am to get things set up with computer/phone/iPad speakers, microphones etc. Saturdays from 3 p.m. is a time to test things out, but also to have a chat and catch up if youd like. Its not as good as getting together face to face, but combined with phone calls, text messages letters and all the other ways our congregation is caring for each other, were getting through this uncertain time. Remember: John 10:28 "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand."

13.01.2022 Thanks again to Phil & Judy for hosting brunch this morning. Shady trees and gentle breezes and relaxing together made for a great time.

13.01.2022 Easter Church Times: - 9:30 Good Friday - 9:30 Easter Sunday - 6 pm at Hill End, Easter Sunday (bring a torch!)... Feel free to gather with us, as we consider the surprising power of Jesus, and make sure we're people who recognise Him in the midst of busy times. (Luke 23, 24)

13.01.2022 Fantastic to hear about the great work continuing at BCA Bathurst. https://drive.google.com//1v6gOsCry0prWXeW5TZC5nwSSd/view

12.01.2022 Happy New Year! Over the last weeks, and especially since January 3rd, our Covidsafe approach has been updated. We now have one time-slot for gathering at 9:30 am Sundays. This will be streamed via Youtube for people who are away, unwell or simply would like to connect. We now allow 2sqm for people, so there's plenty of room if you'd like to join us in person. Now, more than ever, as we live with ongoing uncertainty and restrictions, we need to be reminded of our "hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God" (Rom 8)

11.01.2022 What what ifs do you need to change around? One for me is What if we cant gather on Sundays for months? Even if that happens, we can still call, and email, and send cards, and pray, and read the gospel and...

10.01.2022 That was great fun! Congratulations to Claudia and Dan, and blessings for the future.
