But how do you actually know what’s going on? By getting a precise body composition scan with InBody. 04.01.2022 What are you 2021 goals? Our 2021 goal board is up and just like you, it’s a blank canvas! You can take the step to change your life at any time, all you have to do is START! We would love for you to share your goals for 2021 with us, no matter how big or small so grab some chalk next time you’re in and tell us what you’re working towards. Haven’t had a chance to set some goals for 2021 yet? No biggie, let us help you! Setting goals has been linked to self confide...nce and motivation. Studies have shown those who write their goals down are 33% more successful than other who just thought about their goals. So how should you be setting your goals? Set yourself SMART goals, no that’s not just using your brain , SMART goals mean: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound. Specific: you need to be specific about what you want to accomplish, this should contain some of the answers to the W’s (who, what, when, where, which and why). It should also be clear and easy to understand. get healthy is too broad, what do you actually want to do? Start exercising? Stop eating KFC? Stop smoking? Lose weight? Measurable: you need to be able to track your progress. For example you want to increase your bench press by 20kg, you can easily track increases in weight and you will know when you’ve reached your goal. Achievable: this is supposed to help motivate you! Setting yourself up for failure is not a good way to start. Don’t set yourself a goal to run 10km everyday if you’ve never run you’re going to burn yourself AND feel like you’re a failure (look, we’ve all been there ) so start small. If you’re not exercising at the moment, start with 30 minutes. It’s 30 minutes more than you’re doing now, and that’s worth celebrating . Relevant: your goals should be something that is relevant to you! Just because your training buddy’s goal is to lose weight, doesn’t mean your goals needs to be the same, it can be as simple as going to the gym 2-3 times a week. Time-bound: having an end point or time frame having an end point helps keep us motivated and on track! Let’s smash 2021 together!

If you’re training in the gym here’s how you can do your bit to help us maintain a safe environment for everyone: Swipe in each time you visit the club Maintain a social distance of at least 1.5m from others, including no physical contact such as handshaking or high fives If you feel unwell, stay home and do not train Utilise hand sanitiser provided... Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds Avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes Always bring a towel and water bottle each time you visit the club Wipe down equipment before and after use with sanitising wipes provided Jetts Mudgeeraba
