19.01.2022 Ghee is my favourite food and my favourite thing to teach people to make. It’s so easy and such a special process to make your own from scratch. Anything you buy won’t quite compare! From an Ayurvedic perspective, ghee has a special effect (prabhav) of enkindling our digestive fire, it waters the seeds of peace and contentment (sattva) in the mind and directly nourishes the foundation of our immune system (ojas). It consists of short chain fatty acids so is super easy to dige...st, assimilate and absorb, it is made from butyric acid which reduces inflammation in the body, has the perfect ratio of omega 3:6 fatty acids and is the most stable unrefined oil by far so is best when cooking at high temperatures.
