Ten years ago I came across a pinion and 7m light pole of the first 20 Perth city electric street light poles. Originally forged in a Perth foundry I wasn't going to let this one go. With no light head, I started the massive task of tracking down the original mold and after nearly giving up numerous times, I finally found it. My mate Peter Gasowski who owns Melbourne Creative Cast...ings recasted a new light head from the mold and this evening my good friends at Mudstone Spa Retreat sent me a photo of it in action. To think this was Perth heritage that could have been lost but now shines a path of love and happiness.
