21.01.2022 JUST A REMINDER 2021 HERALD WPL SENIOR SQUAD EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Merewether United FC are currently taking expressions of interest for our 2021 Herald WPL Senior Squad.... We are seeking players to add to our current squads. Team will train 2-3 nights a week. We look to improve players technical, tactical and physical skills during all training sessions. So if you have a desire to improve all aspects of your game, join us at Merewether United FC in 2021. Please fill in the form below !

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian was on hand at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility where she met with Football NSW CEO Stuart Hodge and Northern NSW CEO David Eland to promote this great announcement for our world game. 11.01.2022 It's nearly the long weekend! But no resting here. Saturday sees a visit to Ulinga for a couple of NL1 Youth games between South Cardiff FC and New Lambton Foot...ball Club to checkout some future stars. Then Sunday, wow, it's finals season!!!! (I honestly didn't think we would make it). I will be covering the first half of the major semis & the second half of the minor semis (as they are the "do or die" clashes). Featuring teams from Football Mid North Coast, Merewether United FC WPL, Newcastle Olympic FC, Adamstown Rosebud Womens Premier League, Warners Bay Football Club and Broadmeadow Magic FC. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to the following girls from our Youth WPL squads who have been selected for the talent identification camp to be held by NNSWF in 2 weeks. This camp is the part of the process for selection of the players that will be chosen to represent NNSWF in the 2021 National Youth Championships. Alyssa Hogan, Leo Palmer, and Laura Sestan have been invited in the u14s age group. In the u15s group Cassie Corder, Sienna Denholm, Sophie Holt, Holly Longland, Lainee McFadyen, Poppy Sinclair, and Hey-Won Wilson have been invited to attend. Well done to all the girls for their hard work during the year and for how well they have developed. The effort from our 14s and u17s players and coaches has been incredible and this shows by the selection of the girls to attend the camp. Good luck to all of them we are sure they will do great.

10.01.2022 Just a final reminder, our second trial for our under 13s, 15s, and 17s WPL squads are on tomorrow Tuesday 3rd November from 6-7.30pm at Myamblah oval. If you weren't able to make it on Saturday tomorrow is your chance to do so. 09.01.2022 Positions still available in Youth WPL Squads! Our squads have already commenced pre season training and we are looking for the final few players to finalise our Youth WPL Squads for 2021. For the u13s we are looking for a goalkeeper so get in touch if you are interested on stepping up and playing in the newly formed age group of the competition.... For our u15s side there are 2 spots available for outfield players. Our u17s are have one outfield position available to complete their roster for next season. If you are interested please get in contact with us and provide a brief player resume and we will notify you about coming to training and times.

08.01.2022 PSST! COME AND JOIN THE YOUTH MUFC ‘HERD’! MUFC WPL are currently seeking expressions of interest for their Youth Squads in the following age groups: U13; U15 and U17. The ‘Llama Army’ is a footballing family that are driven to succeed through individual and team development. If you think you are up to the challenge, we want to hear from you!... Initial trials will be held on Saturday 31st October 2020 @ Arthur Edden Oval between 8am and 1pm. (Start times for each grade will be posted shortly.) Interested parties are encouraged to apply by completing the Jotform in the link below by C.O.B. 26/10/2020. 03.01.2022 Women's Premier League Celebration Day (old girls day) This Sunday 27th we have our last home game of the season at Arthur Edden Oval. We would like to invite all past players/coaches/managers/helpers along to celebrate with us the progress we have made in the last 11 years. WPL started in 2009 and we are one of only 2 remaining founding clubs that have played every season. We are also the most successful club in the history of the competition!... We would like you to attend from 2pm on, with the idea of getting a photograph of all the previous and current players/coaches/managers/helpers out of the field (suitably distanced) at 2:30pm pretty much as the reserve grade game finishes. Come and share your memories and cheer our 1st grade team on from 3pm. We have attempted to contact as many people as possible via email, however please let everyone you know to come!
