24.01.2022 Racing car in ear.

21.01.2022 That moment when I am allowed in, past your walls. Easily one of my favourite parts of being a photographer.

20.01.2022 Which of these portraits would you prefer?

20.01.2022 Our squidge delight

18.01.2022 Late last year a series of events led me to photograph two motherhood sessions. They were intimate and gentle, and they blew me away. So, for the first year ever, I am introducing motherhood mini sessions to celebrate Mother's Day. Just mums and their babies (of any age!). The times and locations of these sessions are listed below and these are the only sessions I will be offering for this package. All you Dads out there yes! This IS the perfect gift (in case you were won...dering). Book one of these times and I will arrange a gift voucher for you to pop into a card for Mother’s Day morning. Best served with coffee and a stack of pancakes dripping in maple syrup. Saturday 15th May: 7.45am and 8.45am in Braeside Park 3.30pm and 4.30pm at Ricketts Point Saturday 22nd May: 7.45am and 8.45am in Braeside Park 3.30pm and 4.30pm at Ricketts Point 45 minute session includes: ~ 20 high resolution digital negatives ~ online gallery Total investment: $500 Please tag any mums you think might be interested in one of these precious sessions (or husbands who need a hint!).

17.01.2022 This mama and her boys. Ricketts Point will forever be one of my favourite spots to photograph. So grateful to live so close!

17.01.2022 Each family member, telling their own little story.

17.01.2022 I can still feel your laughter.

14.01.2022 Ruby and the gulls.

14.01.2022 Remember where it started? Before those smalls moved in!? I feel like this image paints a perfect picture of these two.

12.01.2022 There are some tender moments between siblings! These two, being extra sweet.

10.01.2022 All new and perfect.

09.01.2022 Toddlers. Making every image better since ... forever.

09.01.2022 Texture heaven.

06.01.2022 There are some new faces around here so I thought I might say hello, welcome and thank you! I’m Sarah, the creator of Muka Portraits. This is me, and my babies. Henry just turned 4 and Florence is 9 months. So far they are complete opposites, in fact I am unsure how two babies so different can come out of the same mother. But I checked the delivery images and they are definitely mine, thank goodness. I am finally allowed to photograph again, which feels like I have just won a marathon (except I have never run one because running makes me cry). Months of lock down has very clearly shown me that photography makes me a better person, a better mum and a better wife. I’d love to know more about you, and why you have decided to follow me here along my journey. X

06.01.2022 These four making life look easy!

05.01.2022 My sessions will always be run by your small people. It's the best way.

05.01.2022 We are incredibly adaptable, we've proven that over and over again. But that last lockdown got me. I think because the two weekends prior had sessions canceled due to weather and then to sickness, so it felt so much longer than it should have. I ran out of the ability to find the golden glow, to appreciate the pause. To be totally honest I just wanted to drink wine, stamp my feet and break things. I have spoken with a lot of women who felt the same, it’s been one long journey... and we are just desperate for life to be normal again. Of course we are lucky, of course we are privileged and of course it could be so much worse. But it’s ok to be struggling, and it’s ok to have had enough. And if you live within my 25km I’m here to drink wine and break things anytime you like of course while wearing masks and social distancing in a public space How are you feeling? Was that one different for you? See more

04.01.2022 The most common thing I am being told by my families is how much they loved the quiet of lock down. The family time, the stillness. Keep squeezing them tight, let's keep hold of that lesson.

04.01.2022 These three making it look easy.

03.01.2022 My spectacular nieces. Who had one of these big sisters?

02.01.2022 The quiet moments with your small, in the darkness, the world stops. When it starts again, it seems to move at a different pace, to a different beat. Our endless journey.

01.01.2022 Just a firefighter and a baby.
