They met their class teacher, Mrs Lamond along with Mrs Melville and Mrs Shadbolt and were able to interact with their 2021 PP peers whilst doing different activities inside and outside. They were very excited to attend, and we can't wait to see their faces on their first day next year!

14.01.2022 Fantastic to have the ICV (Incident Control Vehicle) visit school for our DFES Cadets to look at and investigate. Many thanks to Area Officer Daniel Hendriksen and our local VFES member Andrew Collins for bringing the Mukinbudin Rescue truck in as well.

14.01.2022 We're pleased to announce that Year 12 student Jesse Booker has been selected as one of three finalists for the WA School-based Apprentice of the Year award. Jesse was one of 16 finalists across five categories announced at the 2020 WA Training Awards in Perth. Well done Jesse on his outstanding achievement. The top finalist for each category will be announced at the Convention Centre on 6th October. Keep up the amazing work Jesse! Jesse chose work experience in the building ...and construction industry on the recommendation of his principal, who recognised he would benefit from practical work experience alongside his formal school studies. During his Certificate II in Construction Pathways at Central Regional TAFE, Jesse very quickly discovered that he enjoyed the work, and took pride in being able to finish a job for a client and reflect on what he had accomplished. Jesse hopes to inspire other students who may struggle with certain areas in school, to become a school-based trainee. See more

12.01.2022 With only 3 weeks to go now until we get to our holidays, it has been great to see some fun events last week for our students. The significant events of the "Mini-Aths" and the Pirate Day were superbly planned and conducted. I'd like to thank Mrs Bec Clarke for her efforts with the athletics day, and I know this will continue as we prepare to take on the other schools at DISA this Friday. I would also like to thank Mrs Kari Lamond, Mrs Brooke Sobejko & Mrs Janice Melville fo...r the Fathers Day events in K/PP & Year 1/2. Special recognition goes to Kari's Mum & Dad and to Ryan Lamond for the amazing setup and immersion experience for our students with the Pirate Day. I hope you all had a chance to look out from the crow's nest or walk the plank. #pirateDay2020 I was absolutely blown away by our parent community dressing up and embracing the theme. Thank you to all the Dads, Mums, Grandads, Uncles, and Brothers who came to support the students on Pirate Day. What a great way to end Week 7! Mr Bruce Gibson See more

Rumour has it that during Mr. Roberts' VR experience to outer space, he became detached from the ISS and floated off into a black hole, never to be seen again.

04.01.2022 We received some lovely feedback from the Student Coordinator for SIDE about our SIDE Coordinator Caitlin Hogan. We think she's pretty great, but it was great to receive this email too: This year SIDE has focussed on the important role of the SIDE Supervisor and has offered inductions for those new to the role. As an ongoing support mechanism SIDE has invited best practice supervisors to form a mentor group. Caitlin has been one of these invited valuable mentors. She feature...s on our SIDE Website as School-based Supervisor Support for the Wheatbelt region. From my perspective, as Student Coordinator, Caitlin has been an enormous support for the Year 11/12 cohort over the past years. Due to her diligence, students have achieved their best possible results. This is also acknowledged by teachers who have regularly expressed their confidence in the students from Mukinbudin due to Caitlin’s excellent and timely communication. The extra time Caitlin has put into supporting the students on camp at SIDE has also played an important role in student/teacher communication. These camps have been so successful, other schools in the Wheatbelt region have been inspired to increase the number of visits to SIDE this year and have already booked for 2021. Going forward into 2021, I look forward to working with Caitlin, knowing that the students will be supported to the same level that is imperative to their success. See more

04.01.2022 The 16 aspirants for Student Council and Faction Captains did a fabulous job with their speeches today. The successful candidates will be announced on Wednesday 16th December at the Presentation Night. #CountEveryVote

Looking forward to some snorkelling and kayaking in the cool waters tomorrow followed by some rock climbing and abseiling.
