20.01.2022 To our beautiful families, Through much consideration and a heavy heart I would like to let you know that I will be moving on from Mulberry Cottage in two weeks’ time. I have been given an opportunity to continue to work with children and families, in a strategic planning role for local council. A role I could not have prepared for without the incredible experience of Mulberry Cottage and the unwavering support of Pammy (who is the heart and soul of Mulberry Cottage). My last... day will be Thursday the 8th October and our wonderful Kate Cochrane (Assistant director of the nursery), will be taking over my role from then on. Kate has already built such strong connections with the team, families and children in her three years at the Nursery. Kate has created a warm, positive and professional environment for our nursery & will be moving in to this role with the passion, knowledge and consideration it deserves. I will be making the absolute most of seeing you all and your beautiful children over the next few weeks. Being a part of the Mulberry Family comes around all but once (or twice, being lucky enough to have had Pammy employ me right out of high school all those years ago), & has been an absolute privilege that I am so grateful for. 18.01.2022 Hi Families, Our wonderful educators have been targeting many conversations and implementing group times to support children's emotional well being through this time. At the nursery conversations are a great way to connect to our children, whose receptive language and abilities are far greater than we often realise. Lots of cuddles, chats and eye contact help us to understand how our babies are feeling too.... The team are discussing ways to connect to your children in a light and positive way to help talk through their feelings & feel secure, safe and loved in their world without focusing too much on the negative or repetition of it, as I think we all need a little break from it from time to time. If you have any suggestions for topic points or areas we could focus on, or any other ideas for our program at the moment, please let us know... We would love to hear how you’re getting through it all. Thank You

18.01.2022 As National Reconciliation Week comes to a close, we would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands on which we live and work and we pay our respects to the Awabakal and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their elders past and present. This week your beautiful children have engaged in story telling, creative arts and activities to further explore the history of our land and its first people. These experiences already live and belong within our program on an ongoing basis. Please let us know any of the ways in which you have or wish to engage with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families & communities.

These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey the 1967 Referendum acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the High Court Mabo decision, respectively. NRW is preceded by National Sorry Day on 26 May.... The children will engage in story telling, creative arts and activities. 11.01.2022 Good afternoon Families, We are writing to let you know that our wonderful Kiara will sadly be leaving our team for a new adventure. After having to postpone her exciting trip overseas, has decided to take the time to spend quality time at home and seek new experiences before entering in to the electrical trade in 2021 (go Kiara!). Kiara’s last day will be next Friday the 26th June.... Words cannot express how truly grateful and proud we are to have had such a warm, dedicated and kind educator in our team for the last five years and we will miss Kiara so very much! Kiara not only dedicated herself to studying the certificate III and diploma of early education and care in this time, she has also created countless memories, offered support and built strong and reciprocal relationships with al of our children, families and the team. We know you will want to wish Kiara farewell, please seek her out between now and next Friday. We will advise you as soon as possible as to our staffing arrangements and who will be going in to the Pioneers for the remainder of 2020. We all need a little break and a little TLC from time to time, something our children are certainly deserving of having missed some birthday parties, play dates and park fun over the last few months... Sam has been given an opportunity to challenge herself and enter in to a new role closer to home & we are so sad, yet so proud to see her embark on her new journey. We will miss you so much!! Thank you for everything xx Dear Families,... It is with ALOT of thought and an extremely heavy heart that I wish to let you all know that I will be leaving the Mulberry Cottage team as of the 13th of October. This decision has not been easy for me to make as I adore each and everyone one here at Mulberry Cottage but I have been offered an opportunity to further challenge my career and pedagogy as an educator. It has been a pleasure watching your child/ren grow and develop over the years and I want to thank you all for trusting me in supporting, nurturing, educating and most importantly enjoying my days with your children.
