25.01.2022 Thanks so much to Wild Hearts Play for continuing to make this story available! Its a beautiful quiet audiobook, read in a peaceful calming voice, about staying home for a while, even if we dont really want to. It was quite grounding to listen to as an adult too!

21.01.2022 It is not too late to join our PlayBox Project! We had great fun this morning in our first face to face Mulberry session. One of our children used some of this week’s resources with a wooden dinosaur. This dashing Dino was all dressed up for a wedding, wearing a hand kite curtain ring ‘necklace’ and it arrived by wooden gemstone ‘boat’. We also had children using the rings as steering wheels, bracelets and instruments and balancing the wooden gemstones. We love watching what... your little ones come up with, and also supply a ‘ways to play’ information sheet with each box for more inspiration. 20.01.2022 Look at this vintage treasure from our toy cupboard! Peg loves the way these types of games can be played many different ways, depending on the stage of your child. You can do colour grouping, traditional memory, or easy memory, where you have the tiles facing up and just look for the matching pieces. You can talk about which pictures are animals or food. You can ask your child to find certain things Can you see a strawberry? and let them have a turn at telling you which ...one to find. It doesnt have to be a competitive game, it can just be an activity that you do together.

19.01.2022 What are you planning to do with the bags from your PlayBox? We have deliberately left them with no markings on the outside, so they can be reused as gift bags. Perhaps you'd like to decorate them with some stickers or drawing? In the event that they are damaged and not able to be reused, they can go in the green bin!

07.01.2022 We want to keep you in the loop with progress regarding resuming Mulberry Tree Playgroup. Our peak body, Playgroup Victoria, has communicated to us that it will be AT LEAST Term Three before playgroups can think about resuming. Our committee is dedicated to doing the best we can for our community, so we are abiding by the DHHS guidelines and the advice of Playgroup Victoria. We are continuing to stream Live Circle Time every Wednesday from 10.30am, so pop over to our Families of Mulberry Tree FaceBook group and join us there. Live Circle Time will continue every Wednesday until we resume regular sessions, even during the school holidays! Thanks to all our families for persisting with staying at home! Its not easy with little ones but the whole community benefits from your dedication.
