25.01.2022 Mad times painting with the crew at Maitland Grossman High School last week. Even managed to sneak three surfs in while I was up there. The story of Yani the Yak Once there was a Yak called Yani and he worked at the local ice skating rink driving around the ice resurfacing machine at the end of every day. Sometimes he would sing songs from his favourite musical, Phantom of the Opera, whilst he was working and the reverb in the empty ice skating rink was pretty cho...ice. Unbeknownst to him his booming voice carried outside through the air vents to the village and the locals would gather outside the ice rink to hear his magnificent singing. The local musical theatre director offered him the lead role in a forthcoming production titled 'A Yak's Life' but he turned it down because he was too shy. This is my rendition of Tiddalik the Frog from the Dreamtime story where he got real thirsty one day and drunk all the water from the billabong and then there was no water left and all the other animals where heaps thirsty so they thought if they could make him laugh then the water might come back out. 12.01.2022 Good times painting Phil the Frog at the Shire's best speech pathologist Leap Therapy Group. It's at their new Janalli clinic and visible from the street if you want to check it out. The story of Phil the Frog Once there was a frog called Phil and he was heaps good at talking and he really loved to do it so when he grew up a bit he went to university and studied speech pathology so he could teach all the other little frogs how to talk good. When he finished studying... he opened up a business called Leap Therapy and a lot of the local frogs made appointments so they could learn how to talk real good too. Soon all the frogs in the local pond were talking so good that they went to the Annual Frog Talking Championships and placed a respectable third place.
