18.01.2022 Smiles all round today in a sterling example of Unite and Recover. Minister Mark Bailey spent the day in the North Burnett announcing road and bridge work to...talling $51 million. The beautiful part was that the State and the Commonwealth jointly funded two projects, both recognising the value in regional infrastructure investment. Today the State committed to the remaining $5 million funding to join with the Federal $20 million complete the John Peterson bridge in an effort to kick start the economy. And together they have funded Three Moon Bridge replacement to a value of $18 million. This bridge will be more flood resistant. And to add icing to the cake, drumroll please.... The Minister also committed to sealing the remaining unsealed sections of Monto Mt Perry Road with an $8 million announcement of State funding. These works will create over 100 local jobs and the investment will pay dividends to our economy for decades to come. Thank you Mark Bailey MP - Labor for Miller for these job creating, economy growing announcements. Thanks to everyone who banded together to advocate for these projects.
