23.01.2022 Another busy day today. We had an early morning swim followed by macro-invertebrate hunting in the dam. This afternoon we starting building our rafts and went for our plankton trawl off Considine Beach. Tonight we used microscopes to have a look at the plankton we found, which was fascinating!
22.01.2022 Thursday is..... snorkelling day! After a briefing from Eric we travelled on Gundoo Spirit to the reef near Pumpkin Island. Even though some of us didn’t last long everybody had a go and got to see lots of fish and coral. At the end of our snorkelling adventure we got to jump off the front of the boat and swim between the hulls to the back!! Back to camp for morning tea and then our raft launch! Some of our rafts went better than others but it was still great fun. We had a ...swim at the end and skipper drove Gundoo Spirit passed us to give us a big wave ride! After lunch we went for a look through the museum here at and camp and did a plant out, helping Ian to put in new natives around the camp. A last play on the beach was the order of the day before showers and tea. Tonight was the camp fire with yummy damper and syrup. Another fantastic and busy day! See more

18.01.2022 Wow! What a great day today! This morning we took the Gundoo Spirit to Conical Island to do a litter clean up with Eric and Paul. When we had finished we climbed to the top to look at the awesome view. After morning tea and a swim we headed off to Considine Beach for a spot of fishing with Cathy. A few boys caught some bait fish while Jherico caught a flat head! ( Sorry no photos of that folks. ). We returned to the EEC for lunch followed by screen printing, a story on how... litter harms our marine life and then the job of sorting what we collected in the morning for a study group. We also did some sand sculptures this afternoon. Dinner tonight was wood fired pizza and ice cream. ( Thoroughly enjoyed after a very busy day) Tonight we developed plans for catching ghosts crabs and went and set our ghost crab traps which we will check in the morning! See more
