20.01.2022 INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS OF MULGOA AND SURROUNDING AREAS: NEPEAN NARROWS / MULGOA HILLS INTERFACE | HAZARD REDUCTION 25 APRIL 2021 Please read and share ... Due to the limited window of opportunity of favourable weather conditions outside of the Bush Fire Danger period, please be advised that tomorrow SUNDAY, 25TH APRIL 2021 (subject to weather conditions) the NSW Rural Fire Service together with National Parks & Wildlife Service will commence a Hazard Reduction burn East of the Nepean River and West of Mulgoa Road to prepare for the upcoming bush fire season. The Hazard Reduction is due to commence at approximately 10:00am and will run for the duration of the day. It is anticipated that smoke from this Hazard Reduction will be clearly visible from Mulgoa and the surrounding areas. Smokey conditions are likely over the local area tomorrow and Monday. Locals are advised: The public safety fire trails located within and around the proposed burn area will be closed to the public; There will large amounts of smoke visible from Mulgoa and the surrounding areas; There may be smokey conditions at times and to keep doors and windows closed; To avoid the area whilst the operations are in progress; To ensure areas around the property boundary are clear of excess material and any other potentially hazardous items; and To remember, only call Triple Zero (000) if you see an unattended fire.
