18.01.2022 As Christmas is fast approaching, now is the purrfect time to think about any pet boarding plans you may require. Travel restrictions within Australia are slowly easing, which means some of us may consider taking a short trip away. But what about our pets? It's always a good idea to plan ahead - can you take your pet with you? Do you need to consider a pet boarding facility? Is your pet up-to-date with vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea and worming treatments? There a...re lots of things to consider when it comes to holidays and now is the time to start planning. If you aren't sure if your pet is up-to-date with their treatments, contact us today on (02) 4773 9091.

16.01.2022 WARNING - IMAGES GRAPHIC TO VIEW A reminder of the importance of regular pet worming Dr Bernice saw a patient yesterday for incontinence but was presented with a very different picture upon arrival.... A nasty case of tapeworms was erupting from the dogs rectum. As you can see from the photos, a large mass of tapeworms were protruding and were removed by the team. The sweet girl felt a lot better when discharged from the hospital and it is a good reminder to us all that regular worming is so important for all our pets See more

13.01.2022 Today is R U OK Day 2020 has been a particularly trying year for most of us: bushfires, floods and now we are all experiencing the affects of COVID-19. From all of us at Mulgoa Vet Clinic, we would like to check in with our clients and their pets to ensure you are all doing OK today and every day. ... Sending lots of love and positivity to you all

11.01.2022 This was no acci-‘dental’ visit for Aspen the rabbit Aspen came in to see us after being inappetent and losing some weight. We soon discovered a malocclusion (the teeth are misaligned) and the teeth overgrown so we got to work. Rabbits’ (like horses) teeth continually grow throughout their lifetime. They rely on roughage (such as hay) to chew and grind their teeth to ensure they remain the correct length with no rough edges. Sometimes, they can escape us (like Aspe...n) especially if the teeth don’t quite line up and require the vets to trim and file the teeth (under sedation so no discomfort is felt to the animal). Aspen felt much better and we were very happy with the results. Have you checked your rabbits teeth lately? Now is the perfect time to check they aren’t overgrown See more
