25.01.2022 Mulgrave Athletics will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday 31st January at 9am at the Club House Johnson Park. We welcome anyone interesting in helping out with the running of the Club to come down. All Positions are up for Nomination, & we must fill all Positions to run our 2021 Season. 25.01.2022 Mulgrave Athletics Club has requested nominations for our 2021 Season Club Captains. If you didn't receive the email, get in contact with us for the Criteria. Nominations are due Wednesday 25th November 2020. Club Captains will be Announced at our Presentations/Club Breakup on the 6th December 3pm - 5pm.

22.01.2022 To our athletes travelling to Mackay, we have been told there are some roadworks along the way and maybe allow up to an hour extra travel time. Travel safe and best of luck to our athletes and officials.

All athletes (Cairns and Marlin Coast included) who have completed 5 club days are invited to our Presentation afternoon Sunday 6th December 3-5pm. You must be in attendance to receive your award. Registration is also required for this event.

An email will be sent to all club members on Thursday asking for nominations for the following awards: Dedication and Commitment - An award that goes to an adult volunteer or committee member. Margaret Russell Masters Award - A Masters athlete who exemplifies the sport. Sportsmanship - An athlete who consistently shows fair and generous behaviour in their treatment of others both on and off the track. Thank you all for your support this year. Let's finish on a high note, everyone early to help with set-up and don't rush home, help pack away.

13.01.2022 Applications are open. These Fairplay vouchers are fantastic to help get children in to sport. Athletics is a fantastic sport for the whole family, anyone aged 4 and up can compete. If they aren't competing themselves, Adults accompany their children and assist with officiating, this is setting an example for your children, it also allows you to bond over a sport. Our athletes develop friendships with children from other schools and regions that can often become lifelong. In athletics, whilst we compete against other athletes, our biggest competitor is our personal best performance that we are always trying to iprove upon. Mulgrave Athletics Club have their AGM on Sunday 31st January, come along if you believe you can help. Our season will commence later in February so stay tuned to our facebook page for updates.

12.01.2022 Wow, we're finally at the end of the 2020 Season. A few things for today.... Please be prompt, we must start presentation at 3pm. And please, no peeking before we start, we don't want to ruin any surprises Please ensure you are on the register when you arrive, there will be sanitiser available, please use it.... The amazing Greenwood's Butchers have supplied us with two meat trays today, our final raffles for the year. They were also super generous with our BBQ supplies. Thank you! There will be a slip and slide and water so if you're going to get wet, don't forget a towel and change of clothes! You don't need anything else other than your smiling faces. Thank you all for your support this year, we're so proud of our fantastic athletics family! See you at Johnson Park this afternoon!

10.01.2022 So we are having something special for you on Sunday, well lots of specials things really. Port Lincoln has the Tuna Toss and in NZ there is the Gumboot Toss. Well we are from FNQ and we are having the sugarbag toss! Individual event - $5 entry paid on the day, before 12:30pm Entries accepted at the Recording desk... Each competitor gets two throws Competition held in the Javelin sector Throw the bag however you like, don’t step over the foul line and make sure it lands within the sector Throw is measured from where the bag stops, not where it first lands You do not have to be a competing athlete on the day (Mum, Dad, why don’t you give it a go!)
