25.01.2022 One of Alicias goals was to walk on the beach and put her feet in the water. These beach wheelchairs are invaluable at providing access to the beach for child...ren and adults with a disability. Alicia has used one of these beach wheelchairs before, but on this day she was able to walk on the sand and put her feet in the water. Her Registered Nurse, Mady and Carers, Julie and Trina were there to support her. 16.01.2022 This is what flushing wet wipes, paper towel, newspaper and old clothes does to our sewerage system Plumbers and utilities have reported a huge increase in no...n-flushable products blocking sewerage systems following a toilet paper shortage in supermarkets. "We've heard people are using all sorts of things in these desperate times old clothes is one of those, newspapers, and wet wipes and paper towel," Rhett Duncan from Unitywater said. They clog pipes and create fatbergs huge clusters of fabric bond with oil or fat in the sewers like this one in Queensland. "The majority of blocked drains are caused by people flushing wipes down the toilet and the costs can run into the thousands," RTL Trades general manager Mick Bradley said. 10.01.2022 The news we all wanted to hear! Following the announcement from the WA Premier, the five-day lockdown will end at 6.00pm tonight. While we are so happy that loc...kdown is ending and we know you’re all eager to return, Craigie Leisure Centre will remain closed between 6.00pm and 9.00pm tonight. This will give us enough time to understand and implement the new restrictions that have been put in place. Our team are currently working hard on reopening Craigie Leisure Centre in line with these new restrictions, to ensure the safety of all customers and staff. We will provide an update later this afternoon with more information on when we will be reopening and what your visits to Craigie will look like for the next eight days. 08.01.2022 Construction has started on a new marina in Perth's north that will be 'bigger and more modern' than Hillarys. The Ocean Reef Marina will include an ocean pool,... a protected beach, cafes, restaurants, shops, playgrounds, boat pens, stackers and launching ramps and also residential blocks. The first stage is set to be completed by 2023. The project has been on the cards for decades - and has been controversial for its footprint on the local environment - but was last year granted environmental approval. To prepare for construction, about 100,000 adult abalone have been moved from the area to other reefs. What do you think about the plans? Will you visit the marina when it is open? Are you concerned about the environmental impacts?

05.01.2022 The five-day lockdown for the Perth, Peel and South West regions will end as planned from 6pm tonight and the following will come into effect until Friday 14th ...February; Wearing a mask when in public and while at work, unless exempt or for vigorous outdoor exercise All businesses can reopen, except for the casino and nightclubs 4 square metre capacity rule in place for businesses and venues, up to a maximum of 150 150-person capacity at all events including weddings, funerals and community sport Seated service only at hospitality venues Dancing only permitted at weddings and dance studios 20-person limit for private indoor and outdoor gatherings Visits to aged care and disability care facilities restricted to compassionate grounds Residential school and boarding facilities can resume with a COVID Safety Plan Only essential travel permitted in and out of the Perth and Peel regions to other parts of WA.
