31.01.2022 Air conditioners - giving new borns and their parents a good night's sleep

25.01.2022 It's hot water season! The first photo is a hot water system that leaked onto the electrical termination block and was shorting out enough to create sparks, but not enough to trip the circuit breaker. The second photo is an element that had seen its day and was no longer heating.... Both units faults were rectified and fully operational after our visit. If your system doesn't look healthy or isn't heating correctly, give us a call and we will get you back up and running with hot water again.

21.01.2022 We are about to face one of the most difficult times in our lives very shortly - lucky I have these guys to keep me company! This virus that has been spread all around the world is undoubtedly a very serious matter, which we should all start to take seriously. Although the average mortality rate is only at 2% at this point in time, this could rise significantly if we do no start to take measures to self isolate to try and stop the infection (which has an infection rate of 1:2....2). Sure the mortality rate is currently quite low, but considering how quickly this can spread, it will eventually clog up our hostipals which will make it harder to be treated and some hard choices will have to be made. I am no medical expert and no research scientist, but going off figures widely available online the only way to eliminate this virus is to stop the spread. Symptoms take on average 14 days to start showing (longest recorded case took 27 days), and the average recovery rate is also 14 days on average. Going off these figures, I personally think that we should all try and aim for a self isolation period of around 6 weeks. This is why as of the end of today, Mulletrical will no longer service the public for 2 - 6+ weeks and we will try our best to stop the spread. Hopefully we can all try to put similar measure in place to reduce the infection rate, but it seems we would all need to do this at the same time in order for it to work. This will obviously create a global financial crisis (which is already starting) and there will have to be some serious sacrifices made and people will struggle for a long time, but I believe this is the only way to rebuild and become stronger - as long as we all learn from this. On a positive note, if you don't already know, this virus is having a positive impact on the earth - take a look at pollution levels this time last year and where we are now. This virus may be taking some loved ones lives, but it is also giving us an extra few years as we reduce our pollution and hopefully reduce the effects on the earth. 16.01.2022 Air conditioners are a great way to help wake you up as mornings get colder. What I recommend to customers with air conditioners in their bedroom is to set the "ON TIMER" to start heating your room up roughly an hour before you need to get up. This will raise the temperature in your bedroom, your body should start to work out its almost time to get up and it also makes it easier to get out of that would-be-cold bed.... If you have an air conditioner in your bedroom, please try this and let us know what you think.

05.01.2022 We can only assume this was a lightening strike that did damage to this switchboard after being installed for 25+ years. Also another switchboard without a safety switch which can be deadly, but Mulletrical has resolved both issues! (Excuse the 3 year old writing - I never got my pen license )
