24.01.2022 Our A-Grade team list as we take on @cudgenhornetsrlfc this Sunday at Cudgen. Ladies kick off at 11:50am. #wheregiantsaremade
24.01.2022 Don’t forget tomorrow. Will be a cracking day for arvo footy After much deliberation we’ve decided that GOLD coins are much more acceptable.
22.01.2022 Well done former Mullumbimby Player Matty Ashton on a stellar rookie year in the Super League. After a bad hamstring injury earlier in the year we were all concerned he wouldn’t have that crazy speed he is known for, but with the season shut down doing him favours he was able to focus on his rehab and come back stronger and faster. Even though Matty was only with us for a season he will always be Giant. Big things ahead lad.
22.01.2022 How good this.
22.01.2022 We are excited to announce the re-signing of our 2020 Player of the Year Mitchell Evers. A country boy from Orange, Mitch was a Mr Fixit in 2020 playing wherever needed and playing out of his skin. A naturally gifted footballer with the knack to be in the right place at the right time Mitch is someone every football side needs. Silky ball playing, tough carries or support play Mitch is the man for the job. Having Mitch with us again for the 2021 season is an enormous asset ...to the club for the future moving forward. Loved by all the players and coaching staff Mitch has fit into the Giants as if he had been born and raised here! With the re-signing of Mitchell we hope to build a side to be a match for every team in the NRRRL for many years to come. Mitchell Evers
22.01.2022 The Ladies League Tag side that will take on @cudgenhornetsrlfc this Sunday. Yeah the Girls #yeahthegirls #ytg #wheregiantsaremade
22.01.2022 Redhot Rozza. He’s back (again) and he’s brought a couple friends this time! The key signing for incoming coach Sean Watkins we’re excited to announce this one. What Rory lacks in other area’s (teeth, good looks, , calf muscles etc.) he makes up for in his footballing ability. A fiery >insert ranga joke< back rower that thinks he’s a winger, Rory brings a spark of aggression and professionalism to the side that will help the Giants in their push for the finals. A part of ...Mullumbimby Giants junior system Rory was apart of the U14s and U15s premiership winning sides coached by current top try scoring reggies player Turnip McQueen (can definitely claim he taught him everything). Being picked up by the Brisbane Broncos at a young age Rory began to hit his straps. Playing a couple of seasons in the junior development system, Rory eventually made the move down to Sydney to join other Mullumbimby alumni in Jack Gosiewski, Aaron Booth and Eden Syme in the Rabbitohs U20s squad. After a season with South Sydney, Rory made the move back home to play with the Gold Coast Titans U20s for a year (probably trying to work on a tan). Settling with the Tweed Seagulls in the QCup for several seasons Rory made a name for himself as a fierce opponent with his hard running and tough defence. With the shenanigans Covid presented in 2020 Rory was able to make his way back to the Giants for a couple of games before more shenanigans took place and shut the boarder. Playing out the rest of the year with Currumbin Eagles, Rozza also secured himself an apprenticeship with Thomas Electrical and Solar Having Rory Lillis back for the 2021 season is a massive advantage for the club with his athleticism and knowledge of the game. Doesn’t look outta place in the blue and yellow hoops of the Giants. Welcome back little Red.
20.01.2022 More signings! We would like to welcome back another Tweed Seagulls player that joined our ranks in 2020 (unfortunately losing him due to covid restrictions and bubbles), Tallis Ward. Tallis played several games for the Giants whilst still playing for Seagulls u18s in 2019. Showing his toughness and skill on the park playing against seasoned 1st grade players Tallis did not look out of place. ... With a full preseason under his belt in 2021 we expect our young hooker/half to have a breakout year. An apprentice plumber with Bay Plumbing, Tallis is enjoying his time in the Byron Shire and is looking to make a home here at the Mullum Giants. Surely he comes with a decent attitude for once. Only time will tell. Welcome back Tallis and let’s get into it.
19.01.2022 We are excited to announce the 2021 Coaches. Sean Watkins is taking on the role of A Grade Coach. Sean has played with Mullum Giants as a Jnr and Snr as well as spending 2 years in England. We look forward to Sean bringing a fresh outlook to the club. Reseve Grade will be coached by Ken Watkins and Ladies Tag will again be coached by Brian Woods. Owen King will again be assisting the coaching team.

10.01.2022 With incoming coach Sean Watkins retainment and recruitment drive taking up all his focus he was bound to overlook a crucial part of club building, The Boat Race team. The only real need for a football side is to supply participants for the weekly boat race. We are now taking applications for team members!... Can you drink copious amounts of alcohol quickly? Are you available for training every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm? Do you have an average rig so as to work up a thirst walking to the bar? Can you carry more then 2 schooners at a time? If this sounds like you or someone you know please leave a comment below. Footballing abilities are recommended but not necessary. Train and trial contracts can be arranged. Tag anyone below who should NOT apply (UK players no need to apply. We’ve seen your drinking abilities 1st hand) so we know who to overlook. See 2020 participants winning the race by a whole glass against Northern United this year. Only win of the day that matters.
09.01.2022 Mullumbimby Giants are proud to announce the signing of young gun Tom Neale. Tom is a product of the Burleigh Bears system and has played for their 20s side for the past couple of years. Looking to reignite his passion for football Tom is looking to find a club to call home. A talented halfback throughout the Mal Meniga Cup for Tweed Seagulls U18s he joins a list of other players from Seagulls that have joined the Giants recently. Tom made the U20s Hastings Deering Colts ...squad and is looking to impress further in 2021. With such a turbulent year that 2020 was on and off the field we are excited to be building our club and team for future. Welcome Tom! Proud to have you as a Giant.
07.01.2022 Big Bull What a work horse. Our 1st official signing for the 2021 season! After starting his Giants playing career at the ripe old age of 4 Billy has been a mainstay for Mullum for over 20 years! The once self proclaimed ‘Fastest Forward in the NRRRL’ Bull is a big prop with questionable speed. Playing in the front row all his junior career Billy finally made his dream come true to play on the wing in the U18’s Grandfinal side in 2012, and hasn’t it been uphill from there! ... Billy is a local property magnate by night and desk person by day with a smash repairers. With a young ever growing family Billy has his sights set on a big 2021 to pave the way for the many juniors we have coming through in the future. I’m sure with a big preseason (or any kind of preseaon will do as he has not participated in one for several years. Who doesn’t like them!) The Bull will be raring to go. Great to have you again Billy and we look forward to a massive year

03.01.2022 1st Quarter down in the Ladies semi final. Marist lead 6 nil
03.01.2022 Our ‘07 grandfinal #7 is back. Will he deliver another premiership? Travis Drought has returned to the Giants 13 years after taking the Giants to their 4th premiership. This time older, smarter, stronger and hopefully not slower. After playing in the Gold Coast competition for the past couple seasons Travis has agreed to come on board for the 2021 season to bring the NRRRL Premiership back to Mullumbimby. A fresh faced 18 year old helped deliver the Giants a premiership ...back in 2007 and is back to do it again now with a young family behind him. It’s great to have Travis back with Mullum and we can’t wait to watch him kill it again. Maybe we will see the return of more ‘07 hero’s (maybe most of them will be in reggies)?
03.01.2022 This Saturday we take on Noosa Pirates Rugby League Club in a trial match for our 1st hit out of the year. Will be a cracking day of football and a great chance to see the new guard of Giants coming through. Kick off from 5:30pm. Bad coins will also be accepted
03.01.2022 Jake Creagh About as wide as he is tall Creaghy is one of New Agrade coach Sean Watkins’ 1st poachings (don’t know if we’re counting Abe Goldsmith and Jake Carter just yet, they’ve gotta have a dig 1st) to strengthen Mullum. Playing for Lennox Trojans 1st grade the last 8 years Jake Creagh has decided to try his hand at league and see what the better rugby code in Australia is all about. Playing for Lennox Dolphins in the junior league system and ultimately deciding to stee...r clear of playing for the Devils (he’s from rugby, he’s not dumb) Jake has been a fixture in the Far North Coast Rugby Union competition. A big prop he will be a genuine asset to the forward pack with others such as Billy Hedditch and Liam Robinson. Look forward to seeing you don the yellow and blue hoops next year (if we can get a shirt to fit ya) We would also like to congratulate Jake on the newest edition to his family Mila Bloome Creach.
03.01.2022 Our Ladies side to take on @official_ballina_seagulls this Sunday at Ballina. Kick off 11:50am. Let’s go ladies. #ytg

02.01.2022 Bryce Thomas is another Gold Coast signing and a big one at that! A Seahawks junior Bryce has played many games against head coach Sean Watkins (probably copped a couple stray elbows too) in the lower grades, now he’s here to help add size to our pack. Coming with Ayden and Rory, Bryce brings size, aggression and experience. Playing in the Gold Coast Titans junior and Palm Beach Currumbin systems Bryce has the potential to be the best front rower in the NRRRL. A big human ...with a big hunger for winning. Bryce is a handy addition to the squad and the club with his sponsorship from Thomas Electrical and Solar. Welcome Bryce See more
02.01.2022 We love our sponsors and the support they show us. Sanctum Skincare has a range of skin care and beauty products made from natural and local products from the Byron Shire and surrounds. Starting in 1992 Greg aimed to create a product that stuck true to its ‘natural’ promise and most importantly worked! Using herbal extracts, essential oils and vitamins Sanctum has created skin care and body products that revitalise, nourish and enrich. Sanctum has been a long time supporte...r of the Giants with ongoing sponsorship and gift baskets that are raffles off at home games.
