09.01.2022 A huge thank you to Uncle Tom’s Pies who have provided the MDNC with 2500 pies! We know how hard the cancellation of Blusefest was (and still is ) for so many small businesses and yet here you are helping community. Thank you Adam and Carol - and of course Ian one of the volunteer CONC Food Recovery van drivers.

09.01.2022 The MDNC is actively working toward the UNs Social Development Goals (SDGs). This is a great article that talks about how vital this is to our communities. https://probonoaustralia.com.au//sdgs-vital-to-australias/?

06.01.2022 More than a fridge!! The wonderful Kate has been coordinating our brand new community pantry. Stay tuned for an opening date. The pantry will be open 3 days a week and provide access to very very affordable food staples. Our meals and community support will also continue! Doing everything we can to support community

04.01.2022 We are open until 12.30 today! It’s Xmas Eve and down to a chirpy skeleton crew We’ve shared 60 hampers in just two days!! Thank goodness we’re good at that cause we’re not too good at selfies!

04.01.2022 Another MDNC Xmas lunch. Smaller than normal (thanks COVID) but still joyful and nourishing. Some quotes below from those that sampled the Xmas bounty - thanks to the MDNC team, Food Recovery, the program that makes sure there’s food in the belly and not in landfill. AND thanks to the Jammers that rock up every Wednesday to knock out some tunes! Veet: Coming to MDNC Christmas lunch means the world to me. It’s a chance to get together with people I’ve not seen for a while.... We get to sit and eat the best food anywhere. It brings joy to my heart. Chrissy: I’ve been coming here for community lunch for years. I always make it to the Christmas lunch here, I’ve eaten community food from Sydney all the way to Queensland, and it is by far the best food offered anywhere. It’s the love and respect I feel as a member of this community that makes it so special. Woodstock: I’ve had a rough week, my car broke down and felt miserable. I always come to the Christmas lunch and just feel nourished. It’s not just the food, it’s the work you guys all put in , and the way I am treated for me that makes it special.

04.01.2022 If you would like to add some sparkle to someone’s festive season - we are open for donations of gift cards (so that people can have choice), hampers, food to go into hampers, $$$, gifts for children. Drop in to 55 Dalley St Mullumbimby - we’ll give you a COVID safe hug
